We sat quietly together at the kitchen table, sipping our cups of tea. Grandad was reading a book quietly, and I was flipping through wedding magazines that had been sent over. I didn’t feel like being around people much, especially my grandad but Alejandro insisted that I should get out of the house and enjoy myself for a bit. Things had been stressful lately to say the least, he said I deserved a couple days off. So feeling much like a child in trouble I’d been shipped back off to my grandad’s house, possibly under the request of Mr. Herrera so that I was less of a flight risk right before the wedding.
