The Billionaire's Bargain

CHAPTER FOUR

Madison got home and Ella wanted to know all that happened in the interview. She kept asking Madison how he was like and how the interview went but Madison only gave a simple reply.

Ella expected more so she kept on asking and Madison looking so lost in her thoughts said "He was calm but quite controlling and also clean" placing her fingers in her mouth.

Ella could tell she liked him already and teased her about it. Madison also mentioned to Ella that he offered to take her out and had given her his card. Ella was excited and wanted Madison to text him but Madison refused because she felt she'd be looking desperate.

Back at Jaxon enterprise, Xavier was in his office sorting out some files and attending meetings till his secretary came to inform him that his father had arrived and wanted to see him.

He lets his father in as his father walks in looking a little bit down. Xavier ask his father why he looks a little flushed and his reply is "have you considered taking the offer?"

Xavier doesn't look pleased with the question. His father notices and pleads with him to take the offer.

Apparently in the Jaxon family. For years, before the next child takes over the company fully, he musr have one thing to show he's capable of handling the company and that was him having a wife.

They are made to believe it's good business and if he's able to get a wife which means starting up a family, he's most likely able to run the company without any difficulties.

Xavier has not been one to toil around women even though he was New York's most eligible billionaire bachelor. He has also been one to be known for his business and never really had time to consider any woman but taking over his father's company was important for him so he decided to take it into consideration since that was the only way he could claim ownership of the company.

He tells his father he's working on it and he'd get a wife as soon as he finds one fit for him and his father gives a face of acknowledgement as he leaves his office.

Xavier remembers the interview he had that morning and also recalled the beauty of Madison as she was very calm and that is what he liked. A calm and submissive woman.

He hoped she would call him since he gave her his card but was confident she would call him since there was no one who would want to turn down a billionaire.

Days had now passed and still there was no call from Madison and Madison in her home with Ella was now finding it hard to give Xavier a call as at this point, she didn't know what to say to him if she was to call him.

She was seeing herself as a commoner who wouldn't be seen around rich people, let alone New York's billionaire. You couldn't blame her as her wedding fell through because she was a poor girl and now all she could think about was her poor life and how she wouldn't be able to fit in with a billionaire.

Ella tries to convince Madison to give him a call as she has nothing to loose but Madison keeps overthinking. Ella persuades her and tells her this might be an opportunity to find love again but Madison couldn't really envision herself with Xavier as they were from different classes but she decided to give him a call because she wanted to see him again since she couldn't resist staring at him the last time.

She picks up her phone and dails the number on the card. The line rings for a while till she hears a beep that he has picked up. She hears "Jaxon here" she's quiet for a moment then she speaks up to say "Hi, it's Madison. The woman who was at your office last week for an interview".

Xavier replies "oh you! I wondered why you hadn't called me since that day"

Madison was awkwardly quiet as she didn't know what to say to him and couldn't tell him the reason why she didn't call him.

"You know what? Enough talk. How about I see you today" Xavier speaks as Madison responds "Today?"

"Yes today. Send me your address, I'd be sending a driver down to pick you up so get ready. I can't wait to see you again Miss Steele" Xavier speaks while ending the call.

Madison in shock turns to look at Ella who has been standing there waiting for her to end the call and give her all the tea. Madison screams as she tells Ella he wants to see her that day and he'll be sending a driver to come pick her up soon.

Ella screams in excitement and Madison hurries to send her address to Xavier. She gets a text back immediately saying "Get ready for me" and Madison is quite in shock and she doesn't understand what he meant by the text but she couldn't think about that because she was excited she was going to be meeting with him again.

Ella quickly drags her to the room to pick an outfit for her and get her ready for her date. Madison had not felt so happy like that since her wedding and it was a happy moment for her and Ella was so happy to see her friend smiling again.

She was now ready and she looked out her window and saw a really fancy car with a man in black suit standing close to it and she knew it was her time to leave. She hugged Ella goodbye as she headed downstairs towards the car.

Getting to the car, the man in a black suit called her name to confirm she was the one and opened the door for her to enter as he got into the car and drove off.

They got to the restaurant and Madison got down from the car to see Xavier standing out waiting for her to come and that was the cutest thing she ever experienced in her entire life.

Xavier compliments her outfit and takes her by the hand as they walk into the restaurant. They order food and as they wait for their food to get there, they start to talk.

Madison feeling a little shy is what makes Xavier more comfortable as he derives pleasure when people get intimidated by him.

He stretches his hand to hold Madison's hand with a smile on his face as he tells her to relax. They talk for a little while and eat as Xavier asks her personal questions about her life and what she does. She explains to him that she's still job hunting and how hard it has been for her since her fiance left.

Xavier is shocked from the news that was almost going to get married but was left the day of her wedding. He feels sorry for her and tells her she shouldn't be with men that act like pricks but with someone like him.

Madison could already tell that he was a proud and controlling person but she didn't really bother because she liked him and was enjoying his company.

They were done and it was now late and Xavier was finding it very hard to allow Madison go back home by that time of the night. He asked her if she could stay in his house for the night but Madison wasn't feeling too comfortable about it but Xavier insisted.

Madison agreed since it wasn't a bad idea to spend some more time with him seeing that she liked him so she sent Ella a text telling her she won't be back home and Ella was okay with it and told her to have fun.

Xavier led Madison into the car as they went straight to his home.

They got to his home and Madison was in awe with how beautiful and big his house was. She enters the house with him as a woman walks up to them and greets them offering to carry Madison's bag. Xavier orders the woman to take Madison to the guest bedroom and make sure she's comfortable as he bids Madison goodbye and walks away.

Madison isn't pleased as she was expecting she would be with him for the night and started feeling regrets for agreeing to come to his house. The woman leads Madison to the guest bedroom and offers her night wears and a robe for her to change into as she leaves her to rest.

Madison takes a shower and changes to the night wear as she sits on the bed feeling sad that she wouldn't be staying with Xavier. She tries to get herself to sleep but can't so she just stays on the bed and stares at the ceiling.

The door creaks open and as she turns to look at who it is, she sees Xavier in a boxer shorts and no T shirt. He walks towards her and into the bed as he whispers to her ear "did you really think you'd be sleeping alone tonight"

Madison feels a shiver down her body as Xavier stares into her eyes telling her how beautiful she is and with no time, they start to kiss and Xavier places his hands all over her and caresses her body slowing making Madison moan gently under his breath.
