They got to the venue and Madison was wowed to see the beautiful interior design Ella had orchestrated with the wedding planner and interior designer. She praised Ella for her good taste as she wasn't good with mixing colours but she was glad she had a friend who was good at mixing colours and knowing the perfect design to use and she was grateful to Ella for coming out to help.
They walked to the end of the venue where there was a separate hall. They walked in as Ella led the way to a door that was written "Bridal room".
They entered and all the officials set up to get Madison for her wedding stood up to clap for her on her arrival.
Madison felt shy but happy and thanked all of them. They immediately got down to business as they sat her down and as one was styling her hair, the other was fixing her nails while the other was doing her make-up. She felt like a princess getting ready for a ball.
Madison felt big as all hands were on deck to make sure she was looking stunning for her day.
Ella left the room to get ready being that she was the bride's maid and only friend to Madison
Madison didn't have friends in college except Ella and that could explain why she didn't have a Bridal train for her wedding but she wasn't bothered because she only needed one genuine friend in her life.
Madison was almost ready when Ella came back in to check up on her. Madison loved the colour of the dress Ella had on. "The brown colour suits you," Madison said while trying not to disrupt the workers from doing their work on her face.
Ella also complimented Madison on her beauty and how her hair was styled nicely. Madison was done and she went to put on her dress and shoes and as she came out, you could see Ella almost in tears at the sight of her friend's beauty.
Madison was looking so gorgeous and even the officials put in place to help her look good could testify to the beauty she was beholding.
It was now time for the wedding and guests had started arriving into the hall and you could hear whispers of everyone talking about what they expected from the wedding since Aaron came from quite a wealthy family.
Nora, Madison's mother meets Ella to ask about Madison and Ella shows her the way to the Bridal room to see her daughter, Madison.
Nora enters the Bridal room sees her daughter and immediately starts crying at the beautiful sight of her daughter. She thanks God for keeping her to see the special day of her daughter and feels sad that her husband, Madison's father isn't alive to see that his little princess would now be becoming the wife to Aaron Alverez
Madison pleads with her mum to stop crying so she won't cry and ruin her very expensive makeup and they both hug each other as they both stand up to get ready to walk the aisle together and get wed.
Ella comes into the room and informs Madison that Aaron and his family haven't arrived and the guests are already complaining.
Madison gets scared but grabs her phone quickly and dials Aaron's number. His number keeps ringing but no answer. She decides to call his mum but she doesn't pick up.
At this point, Madison is scared and shaken and her mum keeps holding her hand and reassuring her that everything is going to be okay and that Aaron and his family are probably stuck in traffic and that could be what is causing the delay.
Madison being unstable does not listen to her mother and picks up her phone to call Aaron again but no answer. She's about to cry but tries to calm herself down with hopes that Aaron will arrive or better still, return her call
A few moments later her phone rings and without hesitation, she picks up the call without checking who is on the phone. She picks up the phone and says "Aaron! Where are you? You haven't arrived and I'm getting really worried" A woman's voice replies "Aaron isn't going anywhere" Madison in shock removes the phone from her ears to see who she's talking to and she sees it's Aaron's mother.
She asks her why and she tells Madison that Aaron won't be coming for the wedding because he has decided he doesn't want to get married to Madison anymore. Madison starts shaking but holds herself
Aaron's mother expresses how happy she is that her son has finally come to his senses and has agreed to not go forward with the wedding because she wasn't expecting her son who was from a wealthy family to marry a poor girl like Madison.
She warns Madison not to ever call her son again, tells her to carry her poverty-stricken life away from her son and ends the call.
Madison begins to cry forgetting she had expensive makeup on and her mum and Ella run towards her to ask what is going on but Madison is unable to speak and just continues to cry profusely
Nora begs Madison to talk to her so she'd know what the problem is but Madison looks at her mother with tears in her eyes and tells her mother Aaron won't be showing up because he has decided not to marry her anymore. After all, she's from a poor background.
Nora is in shock and moves back a bit with tears in her eyes wondering what she and her daughter could have done to deserve such cruelty. She picks Madison up cleans her tears and tells Ella to go into the hall and tell everyone that the wedding has been cancelled and she should plead with everyone for the inconvenience and wasting their time and get back quickly to get Madison out of the place.
Ella nods her head in agreement and runs into the hall, takes the mic and announces to the audience that the wedding has been called off and there'll be party bags at the back for everyone to pick as they all leave the hall.
Ella could hear the loud murmurs and whispers of the guests in the hall talking and wondering why the wedding was cancelled but she ignored everything to get back to her best friend.
Ella ran back to the Bridal room and helped Nora put Madison into her car as Madison had already become weak and quiet from the news she had just gotten. Ella tells Nora to go back home and get some rest as she had flown from Seattle to New York for her daughter's wedding which had now been called off abruptly.
Nora pleads to stay and console her daughter but Madison tells her mum she would be fine and Ella would take good care of her while she's gone.
Nora kisses Madison on the forehead and tells her goodbye as she leaves the premises.
In the car on the way back to their home, Madison is quiet and Ella places her hands on Madison's lap as a way of comforting her while she drives but Madison begins to cry again and Ella becomes helpless seeing her friend in the state that she is in.
