Chapter 7

894 Words
The car ride back to Abbie's dorm began to feel awkward to Josh. Did I do something wrong? Did I scare her when I told her how I feel about her? Abbie's POV I allowed him to drive me home and he made a phone call for a friend to take my car home. The silence was unbearable. Josh was a bad boy, there’s no denying that, but he was brought up well. He was a gentleman. Or he knew how to be one anyways. After our intense make-out session I shared with my boyfriend’s brother left a hint of shame and guilt. James would be crushed if he found out. He offered to take me to my dorm but as I turned him down, I said yes instead. “Can I ask you a question?” “Anything.” “Why did James suddenly decide to get a job? “Isn’t that a question you should be asking him?” God f*****g damn it, he was so handsome, even from a side view but he refused to make eye contact with her. “I did. I thought he lied though.” “What did he tell you?” he asked, sounding suddenly amused by my statement. “That he didn’t want to throw away any of your parents’ money,” I said with a sigh. He couldn’t help but chuckle at that. How stupid could James be to lie to his girlfriend who’s way smarter than him? “So?” “He just needs the money.” “I thought your parents were....” she trailed off, not sure what to say. “Rich?” “Yeah,” she said with sudden shame. “Well, they were not poor, but not rich either. They had to work a little extra to earn every penny and they had a fresh start. They didn’t leave much cash, but they left us the villa we have we right now.” He didn’t want to tell her about the bribe that cost them 200,000 dollars and him 50,000. “I see, so he did lie.” “Well, he is a proud type of guy.” Abbie rolled her eyes. “That’s not really an acceptable reason, you do know that, right?” “I’m not defending him by all means,” he told her while pulling into the parking lot outside her dorm. “Look at me.” she looked at me with her beautiful eyes and I kissed her. All it did was make her smile, leaving her completely speechless. “Can I come in?” She looked at him, confusedly. “Please?” “Fine. Yes.” She got out of his truck and led him to her place. “This is quite a nice neighborhood.” “Are you being sarcastic?” “No, I’m serious. For this city, this neighborhood is nice.” She smiled. “Come in.” The second they walked in, he noticed her blushing in the dim moonlight. “I like when you blush. It has a virgin sense to it.” “Only I’m not a virgin anymore. I’m way past that.” “Even if you were, I have every intention to make you mine,” he said as he walked towards her. “Let’s go to your bedroom.” My roommate wasn’t there, giving her the advantage of being all alone with him. He was simply irresistible with the way he looked at her. “Okay, come with me.” They went down the hall until they stopped in front of the bed. “Josh are you sure?” He nodded. “You are mine. You will break it off with James, and I will take care of your every need, Abbie. Starting off in the conference room once the Monday lecture is over. Got it?” She bit her bottom lip, making me want to lunge myself at her right now, but I’m making myself wait. “I asked you a question.” “It’s crystal clear.” “Good. I have to go.” “I thought you wanted to stay.” “If I stayed, we’d f**k until 8 am. It’s worth the wait, baby. See you in class, Ms. Morse.” “Okay,” she responded in a whisper, feeling weak in her knees. As he walked out the door, she took her clothes off and put them in the laundry basket, changing into her pajamas then headed to the bathroom to brush her teeth and wash her face. Once she was done, she saw a message from him already. Josh: I wanted to stay so bad, Abbie. But I need to wait. We won’t until you leave James. Once you’re officially single, you are all mine. No one else is going to take you away from me. XOXO I smiled and plugged my phone in. This man was like a miracle sent from heaven. He was simply irresistible. She hated to hurt James, but the moment she laid eyes on Josh, she knew he was the one.
