I paced back and forth in the dimly lit room, my movements restless and agitated. The flickering candlelight cast long shadows on the stone walls, adding an ominous air to the atmosphere. Kael entered the room as he sat across from me, his expression unreadable as he watched me. He was patient, waiting for me to speak.
Finally, I stopped and turned to face him, my eyes gleaming with a dangerous mix of excitement and malice. “I have news, Kael,” I said, my voice low and conspiratorial. “We have a new ally.”
