The Queens Right-Hand

The year was 1872, the king and queen of Kingston had just welcomed their first child, a daughter they named Charlotte. It's not that they were unhappy to have a daughter, ideally a boy would've been their preference. All the kings and queens from all over came over the next week to meet the new princess. This was typically the time when arranged marriages would take place, was a good opportunity to merge and form alliances with other kingdom's. " You are so blessed to have been given such a beautiful daughter" Queen Beatrice of Kent told the queen. " Thank you " Queen Mary spoke. " How would you feel about her marrying our Albert, hes been alive for two years so not a crazy age difference" King Henry spoke looking at the couple. Queen Mary nodded at her husband " I think that's a great idea" King George spoke. Kent kingdom was a well respected kingdom as was theirs, this would bring great protection as well as wealth to both kingdom's. It also made it easier for the people of the kingdom's to potentially Marry and start families. Three Months Later Kristoff and his wife Claire had just welcomed their first daughter named Annabelle. Kristoff was a warrior and Claire was the queens right-hand, from getting her dressed to helping deliver the future queen, she did it all. When Annabelle turned eighteen Charlotte would become her responsibility, and would move with her to the new kingdom. 1892 The day had finally arrived King Albert and princess Charlotte were to be married. It was three months later then it normally was, Charlotte couldn't go to the kingdom without Annabelle. " How are you feeling"? Annabelle asked as she tied up the wedding dress from the back . "I'm alright, thankfully our families would get us together sometimes so we know each other" she spoke with a smile. " I know you never got the luxury of meeting him, but you will not mind him" Charlotte spoke with a smile. The staff never met the new king or queen before the wedding,they would meet at some point in the castle. Annabelle was upset to leave her family behind but she was trained for this her entire life. " Princess Charlotte you're all ready I will see you at the new castle" she said giving her a smile and a courtesy. "Thank you Annabelle have a safe trip and I'll see you soon" she said giving her a hug and left the room.
