chapter 01:OUR FIRST ENCOUNTER
APOV:Melissa works at a café in NYC, it's currently 10:15 a.m.She works there with her friend Allison,they both try to make the ends of their lives meet with the after school job they have .
"Alison! are you done washing that coffee maker yet?" Melissa asks in an upset tone ."What do you want?"Allison replies in a frustrated tone "I have an order,he wants an iced cappuccino with room for cream"Melissa says with a frown on her face "Then tell him the machine isn't working!"Allison replies. "He's gonna be the sixth customer we lose today just because you didn't wash that thing on time " , "I'm sorry I didn't have time all week,I just have to drain and wash the filter which is gonna take about 30 minutes "Allison replies, Melissa just let's out a long groan Then sighs.
time skips 7:20p.m
"FINALLY! closing time". Melissa let's out a Long sigh of relief as she was about to to clear the last table...BAM! The back door leading to the store room kitchen goes shut, Melissa was all alone in the Café, Allison had left early to attend to an emergency about an hour ago or so ,She was afraid but she decided to grab a frying pan and swallow her fears.."Oh god, who could it be?, what if they're a serial killer?,why is no one responding in there?,I should lock the door and call the cops........ yeah,. I should call the cops." she says to herself,as she pulls her phone out, as she dials she hears groans and boxes falling in the storeroom."Hello?" a husky voice startles her "what if he comes out,grabs my phone then stabs me!?",."can anyone hear me out there!?" the voice calls out again,she hesitates for a brief moment....."I -- can hear -you"she shyly says while stuttering."please help,,. I won't hurt you , I promise." the Man pleads, she picks up her frying pan having a strong grip on it she slowly opens the door and her eyes widens in shock as she sees a man wearing a black mask lying on the floor with a dagger chucked into the left side of his stomach "oh my --" she gasps "can you please help me?" he grunt's, " oh my gosh wh -- is that a dagger!?" she exclaims "please help, I'm loosing so much blood " he replies " who are you?" she asks "My identity is not important at the moment " he says in a husky tone, " wh -- should I call 911?" she calmly asks" no,my identity should be unknown " "but you're bleeding uncontrollably, you need medical attention ,. and quick " she suggests , "please just help me -- I'll owe you just think of this as a year " he pleads softly, she agrees to help him.
