The Battle of the Silver Eagle Part 2

Looking at the Mech flying close the Black mech stopped on its path before lifting and aiming it at Oriel, firing the first shot Oriel managed to dodge the shot that was aimed at her which was just barely avoided as she getting closer at the Black mech.  

(Close call, the shooter accuracy was dangerous and should continue more carefully)  

Oriel who was flying at its fastest speed pulled out her combat knife which is found on her Mech's waist then she turned her body when she is in the approximate distance against the Black mech preparing to s***h at it at that very second what she intends to do were easily countered back surprising her.  

Instead of going for defensive measure against the enemy, she pressed another attack with a parry followed with a punch directly on the enemy mech's hand intending to cause a small malfunction but instead, it causes no damage but only damage herself before she was thrown far back behind the Black mech usually, the crash was enough to cause any recruits to faints from the heavy and harsh force but that does not apply to her as she was resistant to it.  

Oriel who is currently on the ground quickly rolled around which proved that her intuition was not wrong after she does so, her opponent quickly rushed toward her with a jump before tried to stab where she was on before then after seeing her opponent's action Oriel quickly stayed her distance with a jump to the back to avoid further attack.  

Oriel who is keeping the watch on her opponent she also checked her weapon that is available but sadly her knife had already fallen on the place she was thrown back into the enemy who saw the chance quickly stomped its feet to crush that very knife so it would be unusable for Oriel.  

(Damn, I cannot fight with him head-on with my skill... I must think of another way to fight him)  

Suddenly the rifle the enemy was holding on to was aimed at her then fired a few shots and its target was random so even she could not evade all of it which may cause heavier damage, Oriel who wanted to avoid it has no cover around her and if she jumps to the side, she still would get damage thus she quickly covers her entire body with her left hand that withstands severe damage and would not be able to hold an object heavier than a two-ton.  

The enemy then released another volley to finish her off but due to Oriel's fast reflexes she covered another one with her right hand the damage was done more than its maximum damage that caused the hand to malfunction and unable to be used by her until the end of combat or retreat to repair bay, the enemy Mech thought it was enough shot that the mech quickly changed it is a rifle with the combat knife then sprinting towards Oriel.  

(Impossible, I could not even defend myself against it... wait, what is that?)  

Oriel accidentally found an object on the far right of the monitor where she was watching on then she looked at it thoroughly, finding a Mech hand in perfect condition with no damage or rust on it knowing she would have a better chance of survival she quickly run to that place and grab it before taking off to hide, Replacing the useless arm with the new one the automatic lock for the hand were on which locked the new arm in place.  

Checking the new hand Oriel then started to move it slowly to make sure the system and the new mechanical hand function properly enough but before she could manage to make the final adjustment, she noticed that the enemy already knew where she is where the enemy gets close and tried to attack her where she parried the attack to the side.  

A bit different from what she expected the pre-emptive strike the attack were caught as the weapon was being held down by her the enemy turn around while giving a second kick to her which staggered and knock her about three-point five-kilometer far but due to her being a veteran in Mech warfare such condition that would be bad to rookie pilot did not apply with her when during mid-air she had made an emergency maneuver that causes the force effect to lessen as she was about to crash toward the ground once more but at that very moment a shot was heard by her before a sound of metal clashing were heard by her which was a sound of a bullet that hit her mech's right chest that immediately caused her to lose control of her mech unable move it as it's about to crash.  

(No?! I... will... not... let... it... Happen, I will not... fail... this... time)  

With a miracle, her machine started to boot back up which caused it to land on the ground just barely before finally standing tall while looking back at the enemy where she quickly pulls her pistol from its sheath then opened fire randomly at the enemy without making sure where the enemy is found to making sure that the shot hit the target where it should belong on to.  

Oriel who quickly fix her mech posture stand up then looked at the place where she was just on but seeing something unbelievable the shot not only avoided but none of it managed to scratch the enemy armor which caused her to be dumbfounded by it instantaneously.  

"Impossible none of the shot hit?! not a single one of it?" said Oriel with a surprise.  

The enemy who stands before seems to avoid the shot as it goes to combat position once more but different than before at the front end of the rifle appeared a small blue glow slowly growing bigger by the second that was aimed at her, felt threatened Oriel quick run for another cover and just barely she avoided the shot after the shot a crater about seven or eight diameters were created by it.  

She was surprised by the enemy dual-use of slug and beam-based weaponry combined as one as the land Oriel looked at mostly vanish as it has never been existed carving the trail as she managed to avoid it.  

(Close... call that was a narrow escape that just really did happen if I were late and this thing was not a simulation then I would die by now)  

"Oriel, just a little bit more I'm almost there to join in the fight so hold on," said the voice over the communication device.  

After hearing the word Oriel quickly looks at the source of the sound she just heard before the enemy in front of her as another mech appeared in front the design was recognized by her which made her felt happy but at the same time surprised by its appearance during the simulation.  

"Oriel, what you have to do is to buy some time not fighting against someone stronger than you," said Ashlin as she struck the enemy in surprise.  

"Yes, ma'am pardon me," said Oriel as she looked at Ashlin's interruption.  

Even knowing the enemy is much stronger but she knew at the very least if she could just make a small dent or damage that should be enough, without further ado unable to say anything back she quickly left the battlefield to find any nearby repair station that she could use as she quickly left the battlefield in a bit regret.  

"All right now it's our fight between the two of us... isn't that right? Lieutenant Silvia or should I say Silvia Grisland the traitor" said Ashlin with a wry smile looking at the screen.  

"..." by Silvia.  

"No answer, none at all... really," said Ashlin a bit frustrated by the silent treatments.  

"..." by Silvia.  

"Then Silvia why did you come back here?" said Ashlin hoping to know her true goal.  

"... that's because I want to take a visit on certain someone," said Silvia as he looks at Ashlin indifferently.  

Surprised by the simple answer caused her to be frustrated by this traitor in front of her and why did she appear after eight years.  

"Visit, just a visit?!" said Ashlin with a surprise "That's it!!!"  

"Yes, that's about it" Oriel added.  

"You come and hack Earth Federation simulation which is strict and difficult to hack just a mere visit?!" said Ashlin as she continues in anger.  

"But that merely a part of it of what I want to do," said Oriel as confirming her goal.  

"Wait? there's another one" said Ashlin as she felt a bad vibe from her word.  

When Ashlin was talking with her suddenly a shot was fired first by Silvia, where she just barely avoids the attack followed with a second attack where Silvia goes in for close-quarter combat where a kick was made by Silvia on Ashlin's mech stomach trying to paralyze her but failed as Ashlin managed to jump back.  

Silvia quickly fired a burst fired to damage Ashlin's mech which aimed at the body of the mech two of the shot landed on the shoulder and lower stomach of the mech before she was being interrupted by the earlier Oriel who fired at her where she quickly covers herself by a make-shift shield before she returned fire at her unable to dodge well Oriel's mech was shot on the upper chest that caused her mech to unbalance before falling to the ground backward.  

"Then Miss Ashlin no it's the two of us and no one would interfere with us," said Silvia to finish her before being interrupted more when she meets with Aster.  

"Good then I also want to settle things with you before," said Ashlin with a wry smile.  

"Then with pleasure," said Oriel as she wants to finish it quickly.  

Ashlin quickly fired a burst shot that would be avoided mostly as Silvia who just recently out of ammo dodge and reloaded her weapon before firing back at Ashlin, just barely Ashlin managed to dodge the shot with her roll before standing up and running for an easier maneuver to avoid the further attack but she would never expect to finds a cover that sheltered a weapon that would normally don't appear on simulation as a means to protect the secrecy of its creation which is the latest weapon being currently developed by the Earth Federation to combat an alarming number of the enemy with several personal which is the prototype attachable supersonic howitzer cannon which has a diameter one hundred fifty diameters wide.  

Ashlin quickly put on the prototype and quickly run out from cover while firing the prototype g*n which is the first weapon that made Silvia just barely escaped from its deadly grasp but before firing another shot Silvia fired back with her shot, while at the same time Oriel who is frustrated that her mech was damaged she quickly look at the stat monitor seeing about seventy-five percent the mech has suffered damage before returning at the screen in front of her unable to do anything.  

"Why does thing work... wait if I'm not wrong it's like this... yeah, this should do... hmmm, a bit difficult but still manageable," said Oriel as she was tinkering with her machine.  

"Oriel how is it on your end?" said Ashlin on the communication device.  

"Give me five minutes... no, three minutes," said Oriel as she made a bit mistake before continuing.  

"Understood then if you're done quickly help me out," said Ashlin on the radio.  

"Yes, ma'am," said Oriel as she turns the device off then continue tinkering.  

Oriel who saw the monitor screen in front seen how the battle takes place and how tense the battle took place in front of her made it more frustrating her more as she tries to fix the machine with the battle still going on the two mechs suffered some damage but Ashlin mech took the considerable damage from the battle.  

Silvia Mech who quickly see Ashlin firing shot upon shot managed to avoid it as the bullet bypassed her with the distance started to diminish in a short span of tune to avoid which made Ashlin cause some small damage to Silvia's mech as she gets closer as two skill were comparable with each other without not much advantage nor disadvantage.  

As their distance was greatly diminished Ashlin and Silvia connected their next attack with the combat knife as Ashlin managed to slashed Silvia damaging some shoulder part before being parried by her where Ashlin was being knocked back before being shot at by Silvia's rifle where the shot was avoided by Ashlin as she quickly runs away before coming back with another attack of her rifle while circling Silvia but the circle was broken by Silvia as she suddenly kicked Ashlin which is two meters apart within one minute.  

The unexpected by Ashlin as the damage was beyond what she expected but she stands up continuing fighting against Silvia with a bit further distance as she fired shot upon shot at her where the attack did not hit at her at all returning to Aster who is seriously fighting with the enemy in front of his bullet came after him but none of the shot hit him.  

Being able to avoid the bullet he walked away fast, he managed to take a glimpse of where the bullet came from while still fighting the enemy as he turns his head away asked Lucy to sharpen the image on a certain specific area on a small part of the selected area as Aster wish to know the origin where the shot came from across the battle on his right view before he shows a surprised expression later.  

Not only its appearance was expected but the color and shape of it was no longer strange for him but also someone inside it that was longed by him, Aster who previously has no intention to finish the battle quickly changed as he throws the enemy in front of him to the ground before his other hand which carries an axe quickly smashed at the enemy cockpit killing the pilot instantaneously. Aster who is no longer wait quickly turns his jetpack but before it managed to boot up successfully another mech appeared on his flank but with his quick reflex, he made a jump to the back avoiding that attack.  

Aster feeling frustrated turn his body around followed by another attack at the enemy who comes at him and that next attack were avoided once more where Aster kick at the enemy cockpit with full power where the enemy mech fell to the ground as it turned into a lump of steel and oil poured out from the cockpit as some trace of blood were mixed on it.  

Aster who feeling anxious quickly turn on his jetpack as he quickly flies away to where Oriel and Ashlin are found to meet up and finds out what is happening that Ashlin and Silvia were fighting, arriving at the scene Oriel managed to fix her machine and boot up and she stands up to watch before noticing that Aster was approaching the site.  

"Ma'am, Aster is here what should I do?" said Oriel as she speaks through the communication device while waiting for a response.  

"... can you stall him?" said Ashlin as she focused on fighting Silvia.  

"If he is recommended by you ma'am perhaps, I couldn't stay long before being force logged out because I lost," said Oriel with grieving looks.  

"That should be enough for the staff to cut the connection on her," said Ashlin as she smiles a bit.  

"... Understood ma'am," said Oriel as she turns the communication device off "Truly troublesome, why did this guy always attract troubles" she continues before ending with a sigh.  

Oriel mech quickly stands from where she was at and quickly jumps at Aster's route where she will hold him back so the two would not meet reducing the interaction with Silvia to coerce him to join her.  

"Get out of the way," said Aster as he noticed her blocking his path.  

"Not a chance, I was ordered to hold you back," declared Oriel while looking at him "So step back" as she ends it with a glare.  

"Never, took me many years just finding her and I won't let you stop me now!!!" said Aster as he brandished his combat knife.  

"Then let it be," said Oriel as she also prepared her combat knife.  

Knowing the two will not back down they move in to engage hoping to beat the other to the ground while glaring at each other.
