>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Alpha Koda P.O.V. A few hours later...................... The Alpha suite inside the Packhouse..................... In the Red Dawn Pack located in Alaska "Did you lie about finding your fate mate as well? Did you ever find him? Was he that human male that you loved so much?" I demanded. "No...absolutely not. I was young and dumb. He was nothing. I regret all the time and energy that I wasted on that man. I have never met my fate mate, I swear. And even if I met him tomorrow, I would choose you. I love you." confessed Mira as tears fell down her tear-soaked cheeks. "Fine.... I believe you." I told her. "Please try, for the sake of our pup, to move past this and help me mend fences with my family, especially my daughter." pleaded my chosen mate, Mira softly wearing a beautiful navy blue dress with matching heels. She looks like the perfect, gorgeous, older, Omega Luna that any Alpha would be proud to have on his arm. I looked down at my hands and back up at her as I sat quietly on our bed. "I will try, but if I find out that you have lied about anything else, I will reject you." I informed her firmly with a heavy heart. "I swear you know everything now. I have completely bared my soul to you. No more secrets. I love you and I don't want to lose you." Mira cried as she moved closer to me, no longer in her spacious custom-made walk-in closet. I can smell her perfume again. I can also see her bracelets. Her arms are covered in gemstones. I can't help but wonder if she loves me or my wealth. Time will tell, as well as my good friends Beta Holly and Gamma Shelly along with Gamma Juju. "Koda! Koda! Please!" She wraps her arms around me, not even giving me a minute to process her words or breathe before she hugs me. Perfume and thick curly black hair get in my face and I laugh. "Fine!" I say as I hug her back. >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Gamma Juju P.O.V. A few hours later...................................in Baltimore, Maryland Luna Isabella, Beta Lunella, my mother former Delta Lizzy, and I traveled to Baltimore, Maryland. We went to their non-profit community center. I saw a gorgeous garden and children safely playing everywhere. It was really nice to see inside a neighborhood that had clearly seen better days. Brooklyn, Baltimore is located in South Baltimore, the neighborhood is entirely surrounded by the Patapsco River and the Patapsco Valley State Park, perfect for a family of werewolves to hide in the inner -city in plain sight. "Can I help you ladies? You look lost." asked a tall, handsome, middle-aged black man with broad shoulders and a pleasant smile. "Yes! We are looking for a Miss Pandora Ava Sutton." I said calmly and stepped forward, smiling at him. "She isn't here, but I suppose you already know that. I am her Uncle Andrew. Maybe I can be of some assistance." he stated, looking at us rather closely, trying to access whether we were a threat or not. "I am Luna Isabella. Do you know who we are?" probed Luna Isabella, stepping forward as well. "A group of pack wolves snooping around. The question is why?" declared Andrew firmly without backing down. I like him already. I can't detect a wolf in him, but his smell isn't like most humans. "We have questions. We don't want any trouble. Just answers. We are friends of Alpha Koda Black of the Red Dawn Pack. He recently took your younger sister, Mira Sutton, as a chosen mate. Alpha Koda has reason now to believe the account of her life doesn't quite add up, and he asked us to find out what parts were true and what parts were fiction." I explained as I raised my hands in the air as a sign of surrender and, more importantly, that I didn't mean him or his family any harm. "We don't want any trouble. Just answers. You have my word as the Luna of the Black Mantle Pack." expressed Luna Isabella humbly. "Really now.... Such as....." murmured Andrew as he waved over a lovely slim middle-aged black woman. She had been quietly working in the garden. "Like you are supposed to be a dead man and, last, I checked dead men don't talk. Or are you a ghost, a figment of our imagination?" revealed Beta Lunella. "Just like your eldest brother Beta Malcolm in the Blood Mountain Pack. Two ghosts." admitted my mother, Lizzy. "Don't you think it's a little too late? He has already mated and marked her. A second loss of a mate could end his life permanently. Best to drop it." asked Andrew rather nonchalantly. "No! Alpha Koda and his son, future Alpha William, want the truth. They deserve the truth. No matter how ugly." I told him firmly. Suddenly, a gorgeous plus-size black woman with a cute stylish bob hairstyle showcasing a very pretty smile stepped out of the office. "Is everything okay, Uncle Andrew? Is it anything I can help with? We don't have any tours scheduled for today at all." she probed curiously. "No worries, Claudia. I have it under control. They are here for me. Go eat your lunch, sweetheart." answered Uncle Andrew politely and firmly. "Okay, as long as you are good. I am going to Kobe's and come right back." Claudia informed him sweetly, smiling at him. I could tell Claudia was friendly and completely human. "No problem. Enjoy. I don't want anything, sweetheart." Uncle Andrew added, and Claudia nodded as she walked to her car in the parking lot. "Fine, ladies! Let me call my sister, Liorah to come around. In the meantime, my wife, Brenda, will give you ladies a tour of the community center." voiced Andrew, addressing us again in a serious tone. "Thanks." I said to him along with my mom, Lizzy. "Thank you." replied Beta Lunella as his human wife, Brenda, joined us. "Much appreciated." responded Luna Isabella. We quickly made proper introductions and received a very nice tour from Ms. Brenda. She is an absolute sweetheart. I like her and she is funny. Andrew, true to his word, stepped aside to contact his sister Liorah for a few minutes. Once Andrew joined us again, he shared the surprising news that we had been invited to a late lunch at his mother's house to discuss the matter with the family. Andrew and Ms. Brenda are good people. If the rest of the family is solid like them, it's all on Luna Mira. Therefore, we jumped at the opportunity. >>>>>>>>>> Grandma Beta Ora Marcille Sutton, and the human Grandfather, Evan Sterling, along with their adult children, Liorah and Andrew at their newly renovated home in Baltimore, Maryland in the run-down neighborhood of Brooklyn had us over for a wonderfully delicious meal. I am glad I went not just for the food but for the conversation as well. These are good people. We exchanged contact information. They are welcome to visit the Black Mantle Pack anytime. We all agreed. In a nutshell, Mira always wanted to be a werewolf. She resented ending up a lantern. They abandoned Pandora looking for away to turn Mira Sutton into a "real she-wolf." They promised to return after they awakened her wolf but never did. Instead, gambling and drugs became their constant friends. After, they were informed that only a strong Alpha could turn Mira, but only then it was only a 40% chance it could actually work. Plus, if it failed, it would kill Mira. Only then did they refuse to take the risk. Furthermore, they couldn't find an Alpha strong enough willing to do it. In addition, they stopped reaching out once the family refused to give them any more money. Mira and her human husband, Bryon, were furious when the money dried up. However, the family had made a unified decision to cut them off permanently. The years went by and they heard very little. After that, they heard that Byron and Mira had divorced. They were happy thinking that Mira would finally come home, but she never did. Shortly afterward, news reached them that Mira was running with a bad group of rogues in the woods of the Midwest. A group of no good rogues famous for robbing, stealing, killing and selling drugs. Then a few years back, word reached them that Mira Sutton had found her fate mate but he had rejected her. He didn't want a weak rogue lantern omega as a fate mate. They didn't know who he was or anything else. They still love their daughter and sister. We were shown the postcards. We believe them.
