Late night in the ......... Albemarle Peninsula Wolf Lake Pack.

"Dad! I am here and trouble met me at the gate." proclaimed Alpha William on a phone call to his father inside his guest bedroom in the packhouse.

"What? Talk to me." replied Alpha Koda to his beloved son in a worried tone.

"They are repairing the huge grand bay windows in retired Alpha Noah's formal living room area and the Alpha's office. Seems Fiora beat up Alpha Rhett's long-term girlfriend Ivy. Fiora kicked Ivy out of the windows. Then, Fiora refused to stop till she scented Alpha Rhett as her mate. They ...both scented each other in front of the entire pack. That's why the engagement between Alpha Rhett and Ivy Brooks was truly canceled. Alpha Rhett, upon discovering Fiora, was torn. Alpha Rhett requested time from both women in order to figure out his true feelings moving forward. Both women agreed. Nonetheless, Pandora, Anora and Azora threatened Alpha Rhett that if Fiora felt any betrayal pain during this timeframe, they would beat him senseless. He promised not to cause her any pain or discomfort. However, Alpha Rhett did. Pandora and Azora found him and Ivy in the act. Dad....they threw hot scalding coffee on them. Dad ....they brought gasoline, a lighter and a bull whip to the party. They put Alpha Rhett and Ivy in the hospital. They will be in the hospital healing for an entire week. Surprisingly, they were not punished. Alpha Noah and his mate Luna Tahlia are blaming their son and Ivy Brooks. Nonetheless, the pack is in an uproar. I can tell the pack is divided. They are taking sides. Pandora, Anora, Fiora and Azora are currently resting in their guesthouse. They are not taking visitors at the moment. Luckily, they agreed to have breakfast with me in the morning." stated Alpha William.

"Wow! They have quite the temper. I see." voiced his father, sounding very unsettled.

"Dad.... I need you to speak with your mate before arriving here. She needs to be clear that coming here and pushing altered versions of the truth or demanding forgiveness automatically isn't advised. She needs to proceed with caution with these women." insisted Alpha William.

"I will. Anything else?" responded Alpha Koda to his son.

"Yes...... Actually.... the moment I stepped foot in this pack. I smelled her. My wolf is overjoyed. We have finally found our second-chance mate. We followed the smell. It's coming from inside their guesthouse. One of them is my mate. I think it's either Pandora or Anora because Azora is mated to Beta Royce Clayton. Fiora and Anora are identical twin sisters, but Anora claims not to share a matebond with Alpha Rhett. Alpha Rhett admitted he doesn't feel anything for Anora either. Which is weird and the pack Elders are still looking into the reason why. Normally, twins share a mate, especially if it's an Alpha." shared Alpha William, sounding puzzled but happy.

"If this is true. Things on our end just got a lot more complicated. Returning home with a potential warring mother and daughter duo is not ideal for our pack members or for my insanity. The cousin....maybe...but it is weird. The only time I have ever heard of something like this was years ago. When an Alpha was under a love spell cast on him by a witch for the purpose of making him madly in love with the rivaling Alpha's daughter. He was devoted to her and led around by the nose for a while. Until he met his twin fate mates. Due to the spell, one of the matebond was very weak. It was being affected by the love spell. It wasn't until the spell was truly broken that they were able to repair the damage done." mentioned Alpha Koda.

"Wow! That's insane! I will tell them to check that angle as well. And you are right, either way, it's complicated. However, I wanted my second chance mate either way. I have waited long enough. Question....if Fiora rejects Alpha Rhett's, do you think she will become my mate next? Remember, my first mates were twins, but I rejected them. I don't think it's a coincidence I might be paired with a twin again." asked Alpha William.

" I agree it's a good idea, son, to advise them of the witch possibility. Besides, gathering all the facts in order to make an important decision is never wrong. Now, listen to me, son. Whether it is Pandora or Anora, don't let my romantic problems affect your love life. We will make it work out somehow. I wanted you to be happy. You have waited long enough for a second -chance mate and, if I am being honest, I was afraid that you wouldn't get one." admitted Alpha Koda.

"Thanks, Dad. Me,too. That's why I intend to be on my best behavior tomorrow to win those four women over. I believe the key is gaining their trust and respect in order to leave here successfully and with their blessings alongside my mate." said Alpha William.

"Love you, Son. Try to get some rest. You have a big day ahead of you tomorrow. By the way, our visit with her parents and siblings went well. They are willing to start down the road of rebuilding a relationship with her but with conditions. Their conditions were fair and reasonable to me. We plan to see them again in the morning before we leave to fly to Georgia. Hopefully, we will be joining you and your new mate for dinner tomorrow night." revealed Alpha Koda.

"Wait, Dad! What were the conditions?" inquired Alpha William.

"Stay consistent. No more disappearing acts. No more lies or scheming. No more drug use or gambling. Lastly, not forcing Pandora to forgive her automatically and to allow Pandora to rebuild their relationship at her own pace." answered Alpha Koda.

"Those are simple, I agree. Good night. Love you, Dad." conveyed Alpha William.

"Love you, too. Good night." added Alpha Koda before ending the call.

The next morning in the ......... Albemarle Peninsula Wolf Lake Pack.

"Ivy...listen up. I have news." announced Felicia as she walked into Ivy Brooks' private hospital room.

"What?" asked Ivy weakly from her hospital bed, looking very fragile.

"I followed one of the twins last night. I watched them go into the temple and pray. Then they weakly stumbled back to their guesthouse. The pack doctor just reported to Alpha Noah and Luna Tahlia that Alpha Rhett is currently suffering from a rejection as well. So he is all yours now. Demand that Alpha Rhett kick them out and continue with the engagement, now." advised Ivy's best friend Felicia excitedly.

"Really! Are you sure?" probed Ivy, thinking this new turn of events was too good to be true.

"Positive. I overheard the pack doctor speaking with the nurses and his parents. Alpha Rhett is suffering through a painful rejection right now on top of his injuries. His parents are livid. His parents felt like Finn could have waited till he was in better health." revealed Felicia with an evil smirk.

"Good job. Anything else?"asked Ivy with a smile, starting to feel a little better about her future in the Albemarle Peninsula Wolf Lake Pack.

"Yes! Alpha William of the Red Dawn Pack is here. He arrived last night. Damn, that man is gorgeous. He could get it." reported Felicia laughing.

"Really now. Where is the eye-candy now?" probed Ivy curiously.

"He is having breakfast with those four half-breeds as we speak. " revealed Felicia, looking annoyed.

"Good to know." voiced Ivy.
