‘’what do you suppose we do? Give me a reasonable idea and maybe I’ll hear you out.’’

‘’steal his phone, that’d get rid of them.’’

My ears stood.

‘’there’s something called iCloud, he’d just get them back.’’ Tyler retreated to his chair, ‘’look, I’ve been having peace of mind alone, far from all of you, I want to keep it that way.’’

‘’with those pictures he could ruin me, Tyler please…’’

I’ve never heard curly sound so desperate and grave. The whole scenario perplexed me. One thing was for sure, I was right. The group acted weird from the beginning because something was amiss between them. Like Scott said, they were all very close friends. I only recently found out that Tess and Tyler were included.

‘’Tyler,’’ Curly moved into my view and next to Tyler, ‘’just help me with this and I promise I won’t bother you anymore.’’

Tyler pushed back his hair from his face and sighed while shaking his legs, ‘’f**k,’’

‘’please bro, for old times’ sake.’’

‘’well, getting those pictures would be impossible man.’’

‘’but,’’

‘’but we can play his game.’’ Tyler kicked a box located in the far front and it sounded stacked. He reached inside it and took out a colour pack.

‘’what do you mean?’’

‘’the only way to stop a blackmailer is to blackmail him. I’m not gonna get involved but I will tell you this… get pictures of Scott screwing up and use it against him, that’ll shut him up.’’

I saw Curly nodding in accordance, ‘’yeah,’’

‘’leave me out of it though’’

‘’I promise,’’

Tyler’s phone released a notification sound, ‘’s**t, I have to see someone. Comm’n’’

Curly led the way as Tyler walked behind him. I still heard the voices from a distance.

‘’how do I get the pictures?’’

‘’that’s your problem, not mine.’’

I made sure I heard the door shut before I crept out of my hiding spot not sure of what I had just heard. Scott was blackmailing Curly? And what’s worse, I didn’t know what. Could it be connected with the fight they had in the past? Was Scott threatening to publish the pictures? Whatever the case was, Curly didn’t want to back down, he wanted his own leverage and I wondered what could possibly suffice.

What situation would display that could cause Scott to be in picture trouble. Scott and Curly got into a fight, but what was Tyler’s deal? He seemed to have a problem with not only Scott but Curly as well.

As I took pictures of what got me there in the first place, I prayed to the heavens that Tyler didn’t walk back inside the room.
