(Tess) "Tess your gonna be late again I heard my dad yelling from down stairs."What time is it "I said with a sleepy voice.I looked at the bright red clock on my dresser. "10 o'clock " I said in a panick.I was supposed to be at work by 8 (I work a night shift).I jumped out of bed,brushed my long red hair and got dressed.I kissed my dad on the cheek and then I ran out the door, got in the car and drove to work. For as long as I could remember it was just me and my dad.My mom left when I was about three and my dad won't tell me why.My dad tried his hardest to be there for me when I needed a mother but its not the same. When I get to the dinner my boss is waiting for me."if your late again Tess I will have to fire you" my boss said with a serious but sympathetic face.I understand I said walking inside to wait the tables."Finally" I said with a sigh of relief.Its closing time.As I was getting into my car I noticed I was out of gas but this wasn't a problem my work was only about 2 minuts away from a gas station.As I was walking I felt a hand grab my shoulder then my mouth.
