After the general assembly, we had a calculus class - which wasn't held because the teacher wasn't available. It was a chance for the classroom to erupt into its own form of chaos and mayhem. "Go Mott! Tear him a good one!" "Sparky, you're regressing. Go beast mode on that lil pup!" Some rough Beta boys were cheering as their Wolves battled it out. Merely watching it made Brie whimper and cower behind my legs. Some Alpha guys were just lounging and lazing around, ordering some unlucky Omegas to do their bidding and attend to their every whim and need. Luckily, I'm so low-key that I haven't been bothered yet. The girls all dissolved and grouped together into various cliques and groups, turning the class into a gossip-sharing session with of course, Candy at the head of it all. Once in a while, I could see Candy gesturing and pointing to me while whispering some words to her girls. Her two ass-kissing henchwomen - Ramona and Thalia, were also throwing death glares at me from time to time, making me feel like fresh meat at the abattoir. The rest of us - a couple of lone wolves and Omega outcasts, just kept quiet and faced our own business (at this instant, I had a novel in front of me but I was too busy surveying the classroom to pay attention to it). I would take quick glances around - steady enough to catch details, but fast enough to avoid detection too. I caught Rylie Arrowsmith making out with a pretty decent-looking girl (not the same one from before), Lynette was just twirling her luscious hair and chewing a piece of gum (still avoiding my gaze). Dan wasn't in class - he probably had skipped the arcade already. And …that's when I saw him! Oh, my sweet howling angels! This guy was hot - totally dripping with sexiness and style. I blushed so much that if it wasn't for my great vitality, I would have nosebleeds enough to fill smoothie cups. He sat by the window and the sun and lighting acted as halos for his picture-perfect profile. His cold, dark, and deep black eyes were focused on nothing in particular, adding a kind of mysteriousness to his charm. His wavy black hair swayed gently under the influence of the midday breeze, and I could feel the contracting and relaxing of his firm arm muscles as he steepled his fingers absentmindedly. His full and sensual lips were pursed at one moment, puckered the next, and totally relaxed at another moment, giving me an eye feast for the next decade to come. I also noticed that he was quite odd amongst the others - he was obviously an Alpha but he was just sitting by himself. He also didn't wear the normal black shoes but also sported all-black sneakers on his feet. His gray uniform jacket was unbuttoned and the sleeves rolled up to his elbows. "Without a doubt, this is the most handsome male creature I've ever laid my eyes upon!" I exclaimed to myself. He seemed to finally notice my gaze…or stare, and shifted his dark eyes to glance in my direction. As we locked eyes, I felt drawn into his gaze and felt like I was being sucked into those orbs like a black hole. The feeling was short-lived though because his gaze didn't linger on me for more than a second. He went back to being absent-minded and didn't even take a second look at me, which made me quite sad and disappointed, to be honest. I'm not a masochist, but the attitude he gave me, there and then was almost enough for me to cream my pants! "f**k," I muttered to myself. "If only I could have a guy like that, I'd die happy." "Dream on!" A voice snapped me out of my daydream. It was Lynn. "I noticed how you kept staring at him as if he was some god descending unto the mortal world." I could only manage to squeeze out a tiny: "Uh?" "That guy right there…," she started. "That's Leon 'Lee' Buckley. Don't call him Lee though, cuz that's only what his little cousin calls him. He'll break you if you call him that to his face. Although he's like the perfect Mr. Charming to all ladies, too bad he's too cold and uninterested in anyone." Leon Buckley, huh? I'll engrave this on my heart instead. Wait a minute… Lynn was talking to me? "Lynn, I…," I started. "I'm so so sorry about what happened before. I was too forward, I had no tact, no chill, I was stupid…" *Yes," she interrupted. "You were. But, I guess we're cool. Things happen. I apologize too, even though I don't regret it" She extended her hand and I shook it. I guess she's just like that. I mean, who can blame her? I would probably have done the same if it was me too. "As I was saying," she continued, carrying Brie and putting the pitiful pup on her lap as she sat at my desk. She proceeded to continue curating "the Leon Buckley" for me, stroking Brie's fur. "Heir to the Alpha of the Acrux pack, the only male student to rival and possibly surpass the Arrowsmith Quads in both looks and popularity. He's every girl's dream guy. Candy, with all her features, couldn't get him, the seniors and upperclassmen couldn't get him. He's just like a god in this academy - not to be touched… but to be worshiped!" "I see," I muttered with some disappointment. "I'll just get my head out of the clouds then, since even that impressive lineup can't get him, I don't see me doing so." Sadly, true. He might have higher standards. I'm just a lowly Omega. I'm probably like a joke to him. "Oh, yeah," Lynn quipped as she continued enjoying the texture of Brie's fur. "Watch yourself around Candy. I can see that she has it out for you now. She probably wants you to become her slave or lackey or something… do take care of yourself around here or any of her followers." She warned. I sighed, "How the hell am I supposed to survive in conditions like this? I deeply regret accepting this admission. Everything has been going sideways since I started coming here. I want out!" Lynn looked at me with pity. She gave Brie one last scratch under the chin and dropped her on the table. "I totally understand the feeling. But at the same time, if you're strong enough, this could be an opportunity. Although a lot of Omegas end up dropping out, the few who do make it are considered as part of the elites outside the academy. If we can stay strong and brave this challenge, it'll all be worth it in the end." "I hope," I said. I really hope so.
