“There’s still time to back out Ben.” Rudd Baldwin had told Ben Moore about the ruthless killings on his men. “Don’t feel obliged to help us out. You’ve risked your life before and you’ve done more than anyone else would.”
“I’m willing to help,” Ben answered, “but only under my conditions.”
“And what would they be?”
“Once we have caught the man we’re looking for, you will visit me more often.”
Baldwin smiled. “More than once every twenty years? That shouldn’t be too hard.”
“You know what I mean Rudd.”
“We sure will Ben,” said Alejandra. “I am really grateful for all you have done for me. And for the other girls of course. Rudd and I wanted to come and see you earlier, but we couldn’t. We couldn’t take the risk someone would discover us, or you.”
