Enya pov.
Today it's my birthday. I'll be 30 in few hours. As excited as I am about my birthday party, I can't stop thinking about my loneliness. It's been 20 years since I lost my parents.
I took over the Throne for three years as my brother was too small for such responsibility. I was always so busy with Kingdom affairs, and I've always been at Blaze's side that I forgot to live. I'll be 30, and I'm still alone. Call me selfish, but sometimes I wish not to be a royal. I want to meet someone, who will love me for me, who won't find my rank meaningful. Many have tried to win my heart, and all have failed. And not because I didn't want someone, but because I knew they wanted me for my title. If only I were born I a world with no labels, no ranks, no war.
"Enya! are you ready? You're in there for two hours now!"
'Ahh! Men. They should know a woman needs time for herself.'
"I'm coming, Blaze! I'll be downstairs in two!" I said, putting my heels on.
I convinced my brother to have my birthday party in The Sun City. It was the second biggest city in our Kingdom. It was a beautiful city. My favourite if you ask me. From the gates to the Royal House, everything was gold. They should call it Golden City.
The Capital, where we live, it's called The Fire City. The dominant colours here are gold and red, representing the flames. Then in the city centre was The Eternal Flame, which was burning continuously. Nothing could put it down. Not even the rain. It was said it was a gift from the Gods, given to our ancestor's thousands of years ago.
As soon as I got out of my room, I was met by Titus serious face.
"Why always so serious, Titus? You should smile sometimes." I said, hitting his shoulder.
"Smiles are for the weak, My Princess! This is no weak!" He said, winking, pointing to his muscular body. If it was something to say about him, he was no weak indeed.
I rolled my eye rolled made my way to the fridge. I like to have something cold to drink on my trips, even if it's not a long one.
"Where's Blaze?"
"Mm...he-he has something important to do right now!" Titus responded, scratching his head. "So he asked me to take you to The Sun City. He will meet us there."
Without question, I nod and start making my way to the door. I trust Blaze. Plus, I don't want to know his "important things " if they happen to be related to any women.
We arrived in less than 40 minutes. Which I am thankful for. Everyone was already partying—all the people in the city, big and small.
"I wish my parents were here." I said with teary eyes.
"But they are, Princess! They will always be here! In our hearts." Titus said with a small smile.
' So he does smile.'
"Blaze will be here in 20." He said, getting out of the carriage and holding the door for me.
As soon as I stepped out, we walked to the crowd. I like partying among our people. Plus, there's no danger for me here.
"My Princess, for you!" said a small voice. A kid around four was holding some wildflowers for me to take. His big brown eyes were avoiding mine.
"Always keep your head up! Be proud of who you are!" I told him while bending to his height to take the flowers. "And thank you! These are my favourite!" He smiles at me, his face instantly brighter. Just then, desperate screamings were heard from a crying woman who looked like she saw a ghost, pointing to the forest!
We were attacked.
"Every man prepare for battle! Women grab a child, yours or not and go to the shelter!" Titus ordered!
I was frozen. We were attacked. There are so many children. So many innocent people here who could die, and there was nothing I could do about it.
"Princess! Come! I'll take you to the shelter!" Titus said, not moving. His face was scrunching in some pain, holding his chest...He was shot. An ice arrow pierced his left shoulder, close to his heart.
"Titus! Noo! Titus, hold on! Please! Please don't die on me!" I said as he dropped at my feet. His breath was uneven.
I look around, hoping I'll find someone to help us, only to see a sea of bodies. Fire and water elementals were joining in death. The ones alive fighting for theirs and their families live.
I helped Titus in a sitting position, praying I could lift his enormous body. We need to go to the shelter. As I bend down, I see an ice arrow coming straight to me.

"Attack!" I shout shortly after the Princess stepped out from her carriage. Even if I killed the King and Queen of Fire Kingdom, my thirst for revenge wasn't satisfied. Maybe after I kill all of their royal family, I will find peace.
Their Head Warrior was among the first to fall
'That will be a good day for us!' I thought.
"Kill them all! Make them pay for your Queen death!"
"Father! What about the women and children?"
"What about them, Kano?" I asked in annoyance. I did my best to teach Kano how to be a true king. But it seems as he gets older, he grows weaker. A king should not show mercy for his enemy.
Instead of responding to his childish question, I point to the Princess and start forming an ice arrow in my hand.
Kano's eyes went wide as realisation hit him.
I send the arrow flying with such force that everything around it seems to stop.
I was so focused on my target, a giant grin on my face. Just when the arrow was about to hit Princess's heart, a vast flame melted it, and another one was coming to me.
In a second, Kano was in front of me. Blood coming out from his mouth.
"I'm sorry, father!" He said before dropping off his feet.
"Blaze! You bastard! You killed my son!" I said as soon as I saw the person who sent the flame.
My son was dead.
First, my wife and my unborn child, and now my son.
'How much do I need to lose?!'
"Retreat!" I yelled with an aching heart as I couldn't let the pain in my heart fogging my mind. I need to mourn my son's death.
"Damn you, Blaze! I'll be back for you! I swear to God I'll be the last face you'll see before you close your eyes!" I said, getting up on my horse.
Loss. This is all I got.
