19. This can't be!

Blaze pov

I wake up with a stinging sensation in my chest. As I open my eyes everything comes back to me. The fight, Kai throwing an arrow to my chest, cold and pain enveloping me.

Purple light...Evolet! She saved me! I'm alive thanks to her.

Since the night I went to her room I couldn't stop thinking about her. I feel so attracted to her. I feel the need to protect her. But in the end, she is the one saving my life.

"Blaze? "Enya's voice came. "Oh Blaze! I've been so worried I'll lose you too! How do you feel?" she asked wrapping her arms around me, then she pulled away.

"Not bad! Don't worry sister, I'm not that easy to kill, "I said with a chuckle, wiping the tears that spilt from her eyes.

"Blaze..?"

"Where's Evolet? Is she ok? Is she hurt?" I asked looking behind her.

"Ohh! Is my little brother worried about a woman? Finally! I knew something is going on between you two!"Enya said with a huge smile clapping her hands.

"What?! No! I just think is polite to ask about the person who saved your life... I'm alive because of her." I said scratching the back of my head.

"Indeed! You are alive because of her!" she said. But I knew there was more behind the meaning of those words.

"I just convinced her to go take a shower about 30 minutes ago! She's been here with you all the time. The poor girl refused to left you alone. "

'Did she?' i thought.

"How long I've been in here?"

"Four days. Today is the fourth day since the coronation. "

"Four days?!The meeting! I need to get out of here!"

"Easy brother! Your wound is not healed. The meeting will take place tomorrow, now that you are awake. " she said. "And...Blaze?I have something to tell you!"

"What is it, Enya? Is everyone ok? Have there been more attacks? "

"No, Blaze! Nothing like this! It's that..that I have found my Alter, Blaze! It's King Farys! And I'm so happy brother! The Goddess finally let some happiness in my life. "she said crying, looking down.

I get off of the bed and lift her head so she can look me in the eyes. "Enya! Look at me! I'm so happy for you, sister! Why I won't be? You deserve all the best things! I know I said love makes us weak. But now.."I take a deep breath, "now I don't know what to think anymore! You should go be happy with your Alter! Forget about war! Forget about all the bad things. You and me..we both went through so much! You deserve all the happiness! I love you, sister! "

She nod and smile at me.

"It is because of her? Because of Evolet? "she asked.

"What?"

"You've changed Blaze! I don't know for sure who or what makes you change the way you think about Alters. But I'm so happy to hear you talk like that! You too deserve it, Blaze! You too deserve to be loved! Don't let anyone make you think otherwise! Now go and take a shower! You stink! I'll bring you something to eat!"

I step out of the shower still thinking about what Enya said.'Am I changed? Do I deserve to be loved ?'

Whit a towel wrapped around me I get out of the bathroom and find a clean white t-shirt and black shorts on the bed. As I let my towel fell the door opened.

Evolet pov

After Enya convinced me to take a shower, I grab an apple and make my way back to where Blaze is. I don't know why but I couldn't stay away for too long.

It's like I'm made of iron and he is the biggest magnet in the universe. I feel so attracted to him.

I open the door to his room, to find a completely naked Blaze. I should feel shy or something!

But instead of this, I feel butterflies dancing in my stomach, I feel the need to touch his golden tan skin, to run my fingers through his soft black hair.

'What's happening to me? I should feel this only for my Alter. If I have one. As there was no elemental without an element before, I'm not sure I will have an Alter! '

"You like what you see?" I was brought back from my thoughts by a smirking Blaze. His eyes held mischief.

"I do! I ..i .. I mean I do like your t-shirt! Yeah! I was looking at your t-shirt!" I said pointing to the white t-shirt on the bed. Mentally face-palming myself.

His laugher made my heart beat so fast! It was the most beautiful sound I ever heard. He finally gets dressed and I was mentally pouting.

"How do you feel? Has your wound healed? "

"I'm not that bad! You should already know how my wound is, as I heard you've been by my side all this time," he said winking at me.

"Who told you this?"

"Enya."

"Enya! Of course! Well before you say something else, I was just making sure I didn't save you on the battlefield, just for you to die on the infirmary bed."He chuckled and come closer to me.

My breath stopped in my throat. I tried to look somewhere to avoid his hypnotising gaze. But he grabbed my chin and make me look at him. He leans closer. His lips were so close to mine. The hand from my chin slowly brushing my cheek and the other wrapping around my waist.

"Thank you! "he said leaning closer.

The door burst open. We pull apart in an instant. I'm sure my face was tomato red.

"Uhh..did I interrupt anything? "Enya asked with mischief, her smile reaching her ears.

"No! No you didn't!" I said too quickly. Blaze chuckled, turning towards his bed.'Why did he affect me so much?'

"Mm-hmm! Then, I should just leave this here and I'll go!"She said pointing to the food in her hands. My stomach growls at the sight of it. I blush even more if that's possible.

With everything that happened in the last few days, I didn't eat.

"No! Don't go! I mean you can stay!"

"Oh, thank you Evolet, but Farys is waiting for me! We'll go on a date. I'm so excited! "she said getting out the door.

The happiness on her face almost made me jealous. This bond between Alters is amazing. I wish I could have this.

"I should go as well! I'm glad you feel better! "I said quickly, following Enya before he could say anything.

'This was so intense! Am I falling for him? But I just met him. It's not possible. Only if we...No!no! This can't be! Don't let your hopes go up, Evolet! '
