Lisa's POV
Ever since Alpha Nathan left yesterday, I have been locked up, but not in my room or a cell. This time, I was confined to his room. Guards were stationed outside the door and never left, though I noticed they were exchanging shifts.
The maids would bring me breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and when I asked them where I could bathe, they told me to use Alpha Nathan's bathroom—apparently, that was his order. I was confused about why he was doing this. Why had he confined me to his room? I got no explanation, only more confusion, as I wondered when he would return.
Suddenly, the door to the room opened. Maria walked in holding a phone in her hand, a smile on her face. The moment I saw her, relief washed over me.
