Lisa’s POV
We arrived at the study room, finding Cain still unconscious while his Beta desperately tried to wake him. When his Beta saw us, he was stunned in shock, but Nathan pushed him away, grabbed Cain by the collar, and punched him. Cain didn’t respond or even flinch; he remained lifeless and passed out.
Nathan growled, letting go of him. Cain slumped back onto the seat as Nathan turned to his Beta. “You knew what Cain was up to, didn’t you?” Nathan demanded, his tone loud and accusing.
Cain’s Beta looked genuinely confused, shaking his head. “I don’t know what plans you’re talking about, Alpha King.”
Nathan growled in anger, grabbed him by the collar, and pushed him against the wall, but just then, the door to the study room pushed open, and Cain's parents stepped in.
