I had been staying in my room all day just to avoid Alpha Nathan. But right now, I feel suffocated and needed a breath of fresh air.
So, I decided to step out of my room and take a walk around the estate.
As I stepped outside, the estate servants I walked past bowed their heads respectfully. I felt so awkward about it. I wished I could ask them to stop, but that was never going to be possible, so I just had to get used to it.
The warm breeze brushed against my skin as I stepped onto the estate grounds, but it wasn’t just the summer heat that made me stop in my tracks. A familiar, intoxicating scent drifted through the air—mint mixed with lavender, sharp yet soothing.
