Xyn POV My throat felt hot as I buried my head back on my thighs. "Go away" I muffled. If it's Devan, I'm not going with him. It's so embarrassing after bragging that I'd leave with nothing. "I'd want to, b***h. but rather than being dragged out by the soldiers, do the walking yourself!" He snapped and I returned a glare at him. He had stood up properly now, I could hear his retracting footsteps. If Xavier comes to my room, it was always to deliver bad news. Slowly, I crawl out from the beneath the piano, wipe my tears and languorously stalk the stairs to meet whosoever it was. I haven't even gotten close when the hair on my end stood, a cold chill runs down my spine. My eyes were fixed on xaiver who was leading me to Father's study room. I wish to ask him what was going on but Xavier would ignore me. He got this study room opened for me, he lean his lips close to my ear and suddenly said; "Happy dying in his hands" Immediately he said that, he pushed me inside and slammed the door. I cringed as I gasped, unable to scream or breath. I was staring at my father with a man whose back was facing me. It seems father was tensed as I could see him wiping out blood from his nose. I could see this man's hands stained with blood and his lips whistling, a whistle that sink into my soul and sweatbead on my forehead. My feet stepped back but then shockingly I stepped on something. Grief struck me as the stench of blood now lingers in my nose. Turning around, I could see dead soldiers covered in their own pool of blood. I covered my mouth, frighten and returning my gaze to my father. His eyes bore sorrow, he was unease where he sat. I noticed he was holding a stamp, his hands were shaking as he sniffed while throwing his gaze at me. "You should never have return" he commune with a sign. It was all puzzling. This man whose face I haven't seen threw his hands on his back and he was tying his long hair in a bun. There were writings was on his knuckles and when those hands were done, he grabbed a tumbler which had whiskey on the table. "What's... going on dad?" I managed to squeeze out not minding if I once had a beef with him. This stranger hadn't said a word. My wolf was quiet, her fragile barely making a dent where she laid. "You're going to him Xyn, it's finalized" father spat as though he was chewing his words and instantly, he stamped the paper before him. What! I just got divorced and haven't even healed yet. Was it because I didn't show I wasn't broken that he made such decision? I shook my head and turned around to face the door. "I'm going with no one" I declared between my teeth while trying my best not to step on the dead bodies littered in this large room that would fit for a sitting room. This stranger's whistling grew louder as I could hear a knock on the desk while the sound of blade cutting something. "You should tell your little princess I got no time" his cold voice mutters and I froze where I stood. Nervously I turned around and now I could see him facing me. The sight of him made me lose balance as I slammed my back on door. His blue daring eyes seems to touch my soul. His jaw ticks, as my eyes stared at his face, his dark hair perfectly messy as his jawline was chiseled, strong and angular framing a face that have carved by the gods themselves. I placed my hand on my stiffen chest as a sickening wave well up inside me. Tears clouded my eyes. It can't real, I was staring at him. He suddenly stood up and moved with an effortless glide across the floor rather than walking. A cigarette was at the tip of his mouth now as every step closer stole my breath away, it wasn't admiration, it was fear! His lips curved in a frown and his broad shoulders dropped, his eyes sparked with a mischievous glint as if plotting his next move. He was a man who seemed to embody the very essence of masculinity and charm. He drew his face closer to me and said; "I told you, I won't let you slip away again" His smile seemed to hold a thousand secrets, each one more intriguing than the last. I widened eyes, my chest rises up and down while my body shook on the door. I don't even know him... except the rumors. "Just keep to your deal not to hurt her!" My father roared from behind as though he was being restrained. His smile broadens the more as he drew one of his fingers to twirl my hair. I ducked my head turning my face away from him. His very presence made me unstill. I don't know what's going on but if this is a nightmare, it's time to wake up. "I never keep promises" he muttered, his voice deepen, it seems to be draped with venom, flowing through my skin. "Dad...?" I called as tears stream from my eyes. I couldn't even control them any longer when I was standing in the face of danger itself. There was just a little space between us but I could feel his hotness in this dress on me. He inhaled his cigarette and I was almost choking, trying not to pass out. "Don't... don't let him take me away... please" I stuttered staring into this man's eyes. It felt as though I'd dry up even when he hadn't touched me. I was so scared than ever yet it seems as though he was pulling me closer to him. I quickly dragged my body from the door and stomp towards where my father sat. Now I noticed, his eyes were saggy, his breath slow and he wasn't staring at me but plainly at the table. "Dad, please do something! It's not true right!" The strange man growl loudly that I was startled and I lost count of words. "Enough with this family union, enough with the goodbye, I wouldn't want to miss my flight" "I'm not going with you!" I retort and he suddenly brush the bridge of his nose. A smirk was suspended on his lips as he spat out the cigarette from his mouth. "It's not a request, i own you now"
