Chapter 4

Xyn POV Who are you and how do you know my name?" My lips muttered as my eyes gawp at him. It's the only way to cover up my embarrassment. From the way daven appears, it was obvious they were relatives. The way his eyes peered at me with disbelief was perturbing. I don't know him. I'd just find a way to leave and not get entangled in a sheraid that might cost my life. Zane's body had enveloped me and with him this close, I couldn't even think straight. I came out of hiding, swallowing hard, my skin tingles. There was anguish in his eyes, like he cared when he doesn't. Daven couldn't even speak and his mouth open as though he was searching for words to say. "What we just..." "Aren't you here to show me to the elders?" I cut throwing my gaze at the man called Zane. His heavy breath, his fierce grip and when those eyes settle on me, I got lost. He narrowed his gaze at me, his mysterious silence caught my attention and he always had a way to make me burn. "Hmm" That was he response and the next thing I knew was that my legs were stomping along with him. His shoulder brushes daven who stuttered aside. While he walked me through the stairs, I could feel daven's eyes on me. *** My eyes scruntized every path we took until he got to a door and flung me on it. I winced at how hard my back slammed on it, he curved an arm over my head, his eyes dancing in socket. "What was that? How..." "I don't know him! And I don't even want to know you either" I cut in and he bang his palm on the door which made me flinch. I just knew he haven't gotten over the fact that daven knows my name but I wouldn't let my fate end this way. "Neither do I want to know you princess, just stick to the script!" He muses as I breath hard. "Why? I'm not your property" He pulled back as though frustrated and I could see he was holding his breath. "I'd keep to that when you scream to me tonight that I'm yours" he whispers and I widened my eyes, my cheeks suddenly flushes red. His hand grabbed the doorknob and the door flung open. I would have fallen inside if he hadn't held me. My body fell on him and my breath caught in my throat, my wolf's whisk fell and she was scratching her claws at a corner. He lean his lips to my ear, his breath and touch sent a gripping sensation that I melted. "Don't keep me waiting princess" He added in a seductive tone and pushed me gently inside the room before I could get myself. We glared at each like it was a competition but his eyes brighten. "Your breath stinks!" I retort and closed the door against him. It's the only way that could control the emotions in me. Anger seep through me as I turned around. Why me? Daven, why do I have to meet him again, this way. I almost burst into another tears but then I realized two women were standing in front of me. "Welcome Luna" *** "That deal was with my father, why am I involved in your politics!" I began fuming and charged at my image as though he was right there. I couldn't breath in the ball dress that this maid keeps tightening on me. I gnashed my teeth, staring at the mirror. "Just let me go, I have nothing to offer!" I added barely recognizing my voice yet the silence still lingers. The maids seems confused but kept a straight face. That's what I intended to tell him. It seems they were working under duress, trying their best to be fast. One of them kept checking the time like their life depended on it. I turned around to face them, possibly, they could help me. "I've been abducted and I..." I couldn't even complete my statement when the door was open. My body vibrates as I quickly lowered my head. I was shaken to my knees. Even his aura was terrifying. The maid who was straightening my dress, shook as she stopped. A hairpin which the second maid was holding fell off and it dangles on my leg. "Do you wants your heads served to me on a platter of gold?" "No alpha" they responded unable to stand straight. I bent low to pick the hairpin. "Is she ready?" "No! Give me time" I fuss, struggling to move with the large ball dress on me. I prefer pants and something free. Even the heels were too high for me and I was struggling to take it off. When I raised my head to look at him, I didn't want to look away. His muscles rippled beneath his fitted suit that hung on his body like a model. His brows arches at me as he stood tall and domineering. His eyes shone bright with concentration, his hair curl slightly at the nape of his neck. There was just something about him that drew me in as he seems to be molded from a different caste. He kissed his teeth and stomp closer, the maids moved back and I could sense their fear. Hastily, I stood in front of them and spread my arms as though I could shield them when I couldn't even protect myself. "Move" he ordered in a fierce tone while glaring at me. I shook my head and his hand almost grabbed me when someone else walked in. "You're needed in the dark room" I recognized that voice, daven. Somehow, I felt a sense of relief, as I dropped my hands and chest out. Zane would leave, so I thought. I peeped at daven, he seems tensed as his jaw ticks. "They can wait!" Zane responded, his eyes haven't left me. "You two, leave" he ordered and the maids quickly gave a bow while pacing out of the room in a haste. "That includes you daven" Daven shouldn't leave, at least not now until I leave this house because of his scary brother. My soul almost jumped out of my body. It was either zane makes me bleed or give me a scar. What's his problem? It wasn't the maids fault. He gave them a specific time to bring me out from the room but they couldn't keep to it because I kept changing clothes that would suit me better but this dress was worse. "Are you going to be so irresponsible to keep the elders waiting all the time or because you're scared you don't have words to say?" Zane threw his face at daven who leaned on the frame of the door, his cold gaze and that gentleman facade that he always carries everywhere. Daven always speaks calmly but his words were poisonous. I hate him, I shouldn't be thinking of him. When our eyes locked, a knot tied my stomach and I folded my lips. "You should just stick to killing not ruling" he added infuriating Zane the more. His body had suddenly expanded, his tailored suit almost ripping out and before any disaster could happen, I quickly gathered the hem of my gown in my arms and raced towards Zane. If a fight breaks out, I'd be the victim here. At least I should stay alive before thinking of escaping. "You should stick to flirting rather than ruling!" Zane retorts, his voice roars that for a moment I felt it was a god speaking. "Drop it Zane, you aren't worth it!" "Says the whimp" "Stop!" I screeched as it was almost a step closer for Zane to grab daven when I accidentally broke an ankle and fell. "Argh!" I winced, my body fell to the ground and my hair scattered on my face. Stupid heels. Annoyingly, I raised my head high, only to find two different hands stretched at me to grab on to.
