VALERIE’S POV.
The door creaked open slowly, Valerie's heart thudded in her chest, although she didn't know exactly what she expected, she knew something was certainly up. She stepped quietly into the dark corridor of Mark's private laboratory, even though she wondered why it was dark, she knew she wasn't supposed to be in there.
Valerie walked aimlessly through the hallway and then she heard a noise, or a man grunting. The faint sound of erratic breathing and whispers floated through the air, guiding Valerie's hesitant steps forward. She rounded the corner, her eyes widening in shock and disbelief at the scene unfolding before her. There was Mark, entangled with Elizabeth, his lead scientist.
