"I can't do this!" I cried.
I was not sure how much more of this I can take. The pain is excruciating, and I can feel my body tearing apart. I'm not due yet, but then I was already in labour. Valerie, who has quickly rushed to my side, started coaching me through each contraction, but even her calm demeanour can't ease the agony I felt at that point.
The moment my fingers settled around the bars of the cell, I felt the walls of the cell closing in. I knew at once I'd made a terrible mistake and now I was about to birth a child into this wicked world. I screamed for the help of the triplets telepathically as I was sucked down—deep into the violent part of the labour.
