Valerie was determined to find out what exactly Leo was hiding in the basement. She wondered what she would find when she got down there. After all, Leo’s strict warning to never venture down there only fueled her curiosity further. It felt almost impossible to not check it at all. So instead of going to school, she decided to go to the pack house. She was greeted by the chief housekeeper as soon as she entered the pack house. When she asked about Leo and his father, the maid informed her that they were not home and would be back in less than an hour.
