THIRD PERSON POV.
Valerie shifted into her wolf form, running as fast as her legs could carry her. Leo's orders echoed in her mind: capture her alive, no shots fired. Desperate to evade capture, she pushed herself to outrun them but misjudged her path and tumbled off a cliff.
Rolling down the valley, sharp thorns and jagged rocks sliced into her skin, leaving shallow cuts in their wake. A particularly harsh impact against a large rock sent her spiraling into unconsciousness.
Her senses slowly returned as a stinging slap jolted her awake. Blinking through groggy vision, she found Leo crouched beside her.
"Why were you spying on us?" Leo asked, glaring at Valerie.
Valerie remained obstinately silent.
"Answer me," he yelled, causing her to jerk back.
