THIRD PERSON POV. Valerie shifted into her wolf form, running as fast as her legs could carry her. Leo's orders echoed in her mind: capture her alive, no shots fired. Desperate to evade capture, she pushed herself to outrun them but misjudged her path and tumbled off a cliff. Rolling down the valley, sharp thorns and jagged rocks sliced into her skin, leaving shallow cuts in their wake. A particularly harsh impact against a large rock sent her spiraling into unconsciousness. Her senses slowly returned as a stinging slap jolted her awake.
