THIRD PERSON POV.
The guard flung Leo and Valerie into the dungeons where Jayden was confined. As they stumbled in, Jayden surged with rage, lunging forward to strike his brother with a brutal blow to the head.
Leo collapsed, blood streaming from his nose. “I’m sorry,” he managed to choke out.
Jayden hissed. “Save your apologies, you dumb jerk,” he spat at him.
“Please forgive me,” Leo pleaded.
“If you say that word one more time, I will not hesitate to kill you,” Jayden warned.
Leo exhaled deeply before getting up from the ground.
“Where is Hunter?” Jayden thundered, his face boiling with anger. “What have you done to him?” he yelled.
Valerie, silent until then, finally spoke up from her corner in the dimly lit cell. “He is with Blair. He’s safe,” her voice barely a whisper.
