THIRD PERSON’S POV.
"You made it out alive?" Mark's voice carried a hint of surprise.
"What, were you expecting us to die?" Blair retorted angrily as she delivered a sharp punch to Mark's face, sending him tumbling to the ground.
Valerie hurried to her boyfriend's side, assisting him to his feet. "Why would you do that?" she demanded.
"You were supposed to help us inside the building, but you abandoned us," Blair hissed, her gaze hardening.
"It's not our fault. Somehow, the system crashed, and we lost all communication with you," Valerie explained. "I would never intentionally leave you, Blair. It was not my intention," she added softly.
“I’m sorry for judging you wrongly,” Blair apologized.
