Summer POV
“So this is the girl who claims to be the future Luna,” Ellen said.
How would I respond to that?
“I…uh… well…”
She eyed me from head to toe. I felt like I was under an X-ray machine. She adjusted her bag, raised her shoulders and continued to stare disapprovingly.
I shook my head. “I’m Summer.”
“I’m Ellen Turner. Ezra’s Aunt. His mother was my sister. I’m also an esteemed member of the Pack Council. I take my job very seriously.”
She reminded me of an old stuck-up school Principal. I offered Ellen a pressed smile.
“I’m sure you do, Ellen.”
How did she know I was here? I didn’t want to know.
“The Mating Ceremony is a few days away,” she stated.
I nodded. “I just have to pick up my dress. Ezra and I have everything organized. You don’t have to worry about anything.”
