Chapter Ten “Not anybody.” My mouth moved more easily as I formed the words, but something else felt off. Dry grit filled my throat. I wasn’t as warm as I had been. And I was lying down. Something soft kept my arms from moving. “What is this?” I moved my hands. Fabric covered them. “Actually awake this time?” “Lanni!” Mari said right before something landed on my legs. “Careful with her, kiddo. She’s going to feel like shit.” I opened my eyes.
