Running Late
"Can you at least eat some breakfast with me before you go? you never have time for your mother anymore, Emmy" Asha said with a soft smile walking past the bathroom doorway, heading twords the kitchen and she began fumbling through the cubbards for their breakfast.
"Can't today mom, I'm already running late" She called back from the bathroom doorway. She was finishing up brushing her teeth and hair, she had woken up late today. She decided on a soft black tank top and her favorite light blue jeans with small white rips at the knees. Picking up her bag, she began searching for her homework to make sure she remembered to put it in there last night. It was the final week of high-school, and I cannot wait for it to be over. She peaked out the bathroom door at her mother before going back to the mirror to start on her makeup.
Asha was Emery's mother, slightly shorter then Emery, but they looked similar in features. Emery had long, Silvery blonde hair, with slight flecks of white that almost resembled the stars when the light of the sun hit her hair at just the right moment. Her mother, had shoulder length hair, bright blue and green hazel eyes with dark sparks of deep blue close to the iris, but her colors slightly dulled from the years, but just as beautiful as her daughters. Both had hourglass shaped bodies, Emery being a couple inches taller then her mother, was only a bit more curvey. Bless the moon goddess herself for her giving her Ashas's gorgeous looks. She believed her mother was crafted after the moon itself.
"Alright then, I've set you out some toast to run with, will I be seeing you for dinner?" her mother chimed from the kitchen door.
"Yes, I'll make sure to make it home in time after study."
"Okay, love you little dove, see you later" her mother smiled, rushing out the door to go start her day with pack training. Asha was in charge of the SinderMoons warrior training. They ran their pack a bit differently then other packs. Most high ranking women were to stand around and look pretty, but in her pack, everyone trains. Everyone is strong, and pushed to be the best of the best. They were well known, and were proud of their pack strength. Emery's father, Alpha Mercier was already gone early in the morning, out hunting with his beta and other omegas. Emery's father was the strongest, most humblest of the pack. He was more on the quiet side of things. He ran the pack well, and everyone looked up to him with admiration. A complete opposite from his Luna and his daughter when it came to looks, he had darker ash colored hair, dark emerald green eyes, and built like an army tank. She wouldn't be seeing her father until later in the night, around dinner time. He's rarely home..he's mostly busy with meetings with other neighboring packs, making treaties or dealing with stay rogues.. He had promised her deer.

After finishing my makeup, I half sprint to the kitchen for the toast mom left me, grab my black zipup leather jacket and quickly throw my sneakers on. I quickly check the time, and before I set out, grabbed an apple off the shelf, and dash out the door. I had to hurry, class was to start in 15mins. As I dash to the garage, I grab my keys off the hook, throw on my helmet, and start my bike. I absolutely loved my bike. My helmet was even better. Silver, almost like my hair, with cute little pointed ears at the top. I hope my wolf looks like me. 1 more week and I get to meet her. My birthday was the same weekend we ended school, which is great considering we have a celebration bonfire for the graduates. I've waited so long for my 18th birthday. My parents and other elders from our pack have taught us that once we hit 18, we meet our wolves, and possibly our mates soon after. I hit the garage door button, and zoom down the driveway. As I sped down the main street and onto the bridge, I take in the sweet-salty scented air of the water below, one of my favorite spots to hang around during the summer. Sometimes me and a few friends of mine go down there to swim in the streams on hot days. 5mins pass, and im off the bridge, and onto the side-winding road. Down through the valley way, and onto the school grounds. I park my bike, and begin dashing up the steps to the front doors. I check the time, I have 5mins before class begins. Not too late, thank my speeding for getting here just in the nik of time. Usually I'm here 20mins beforehand, hanging out with my bestfriend Helaina before classes. Helaina Klyde and I have been best friends since we were pups. Our mothers were best friends growing up, and it only seemed fitting their daughters to grow up as best friends as well. They were right. She lost her mother several years ago when a group of the stray rogues came and wrecked havoc on the lower end of town while my family and I were away visiting one of our allied packs. Since then, we were bonded together like sisters, and I've always had her back. She was the cutest little thing then as she is now. Short, with long velvet black hair, and purple eyes. As small and fragile looking as she was, she packed a punch, and one of our most skilled warriors in training, quick at learning, speed has always been on her side. I seen her car parked outside, so I know she's here today. I rush down the hall, and slide into first period just as our teacher, Mr.Jay begins taking attendance. I glance over, and I hear some of my classmates begin talking about a new kid coming to our school who's family recently accepted into our clan. Then, the annoying popular girl Phebe, whips her red hair around, and pipes up from the first row.
"...yeah, and he's my boyfriend!" I roll my eyes. she has a new 'boyfriend' every 3-4 weeks.
"..we have been best friends since we were pups, so only seemed right that once he moved closer, we started hanging out his first couple weeks here, and boom, I asked him out.." he chimes on. I drown out the rest of their convos and begin listening for my name.
"Emery Sindercrest?" Mr.Jay calls out.
"Here" I raise my hand. Phebe stops and turns and gives me a dirty look. we never got along. she was the more uppity, prissy cheerleader type. I never knew why she disliked me, maybe I wasn't girly enough to be her 'friend'. Most of her 'friends' she only kept around to boast and brag or step on. Not someone I'd want to hang around...
Mr.Jay begins and mentions that there will be a new student coming in shortly, and begins his teachings. As I'm scribbling down notes, I feel something small and wet hit my face. It was a piece of chewed fruity gum. Pissed, I turn to the direction the gum came from, and I see Phebe and her little clique giggling and looking away, while she begins opening and putting more gum into her mouth. I throw the gum back at her and it lands right in her hair without her noticing. I'm sure she's ganna LOVE finding that later.
Suddenly, there's a knock on the classroom door. Mr.Jay walks over and opens it.
"Is this Mr.Jays class?" a deep, smooth, voice comes from the hallway.
"Come on in Sebastián. We've been expecting you." and in walks in the most gorgeous looking man I've ever seen.
