My eyelids flickered.
The surroundings were unfamiliar nothing like Drexel’s.
Everything here was greyish. I tried standing but couldn’t move my hands.
I turned back and realized I was chained.
The heck, what have I gotten myself into? My life is getting messier.
If I hadn’t known Drexel, none of this would be happening to me.
“Hey, gorgeous...you’re awake?”
It was the man I met earlier.
“Who are you? And what the hell am I doing in your room?”
“Hey, calm down. You’re at the right place...the perfect place for you to be.”
He kept walking closer. I could feel a spark.
Drexel, where the f**k are you? I tried mind-linking him, maybe he could hear me.
“Don’t come closer to me. Do not!”
He smirked. “Or what? Drexel will kill me? Or spank my ass?”
My body started jerking as his steps got closer.
I was feeling hot...real hot. What was happening?
My body doesn’t react this way to anyone but Drexel. And this one was hot...way too hot.
His face pressed close to mine. I felt really irritated.

Because his mate is also my mate.”

What the freaking hell? But I composed myself, trying to keep my emotions down.
“Why was your expression like that?” he asked.
“If you can’t do it, let me know. Locking you up or keeping you in my slave yard wouldn’t be hard!”
I jerked. “No...I’ll do it!”
“Good. Don’t even think of escaping. You must report who she is. I’ll keep a tracker on you. Here’s it.”
He gave me a small tracking device.
“It’ll count the 16 days. When you don’t return, it’ll bring you back here the way you came.”
“What do you want to do with the mate?”
“My powers will be back if I claim her. And when my powers are back? I’ll kill her the way Drexel killed my lover!”
“Why did Drexel kill your lover? Were you both enemies?”
“Enemies? We were far from that. We were best friends who loved two sisters.
But Drexel doesn’t love the other twin...his eyes were always fixed on Felicia.
And he knew I loved her, yet I pretended not to know anything!”

He removed the chains and I could now breathe properly.
I was about standing up when he held my hands. “Ryvessa, right?”
“Yeah, i nodded."

And Drexel should not know about this. Am I clear?”

Immediately, he flickered his hands and I found myself back in Drexel’s room.
Peace. Relief washed over me. I was back to warmth.
I just jumped on the bed. The fool was gone...whoever she was, thank goodness.
The bed was soft as hell.
I didn’t even bother mind-talking with Drexel because I didn’t have anything to say to him, and I do want to see him.
When he’s back, I want to leave this God-forsaken place.
I’m damn tired. In fact, I’m done with this whole arresting thing! I just want to be back in my mama’s arms.
And I’m breaking this stupid device.
Ouch...pain started flickering through my stomach.
The hell...is it my period or what? Ouch, my cramps are so bad when heating up.
I used the bracelet to call Sky. I wanted to call Milan because she’s a female and the only one who could understand me, but I hurt her and now she’ll be in serious pain!
Sky came immediately. I was shy. He was shocked when he saw me, like I was looking strange.
“What’s it? Why are you looking at me that way?”
“Sorry, ma’am,” he bowed his head.
“Alpha has been looking for you in every nook and cranny. He’s been going crazy searching for you, ma’am.”
I frowned. “Ohh...he was late. Too late.
Well, that wasn’t why I called you! Please, I need to get a sanitary pad, that ladies use. Please!”
“What’s that, ma’am? I haven’t heard of it before!”
Damn, I hit my Palm on my face.
“You’ve not heard of sanitary pad before? Or are you kidding me?”
He kept muttering what sanitary pad was, and I could tell from his expression that he didn’t know what it meant.
“Okay, can you please call one of the maids for me?”
He nodded and went out.
Damn...it got worse and I couldn’t bear it anymore.
I’m just a girl. Please don’t kill me, I never signed up for this.
I kept rolling on the bed to the point that I had to fall and lay on my abdomen.
Sky came back immediately with the maid and I dismissed him.
The maid came closer. “Ma’am? Are you okay?”
“No....I’m not. I feel like dying. Shit
I don’t even know where to get some sanitary pad.” I clutched my stomach.
“Sorry, ma’am. I’ll get you some sanitary pad and some cramps-relief herbs.”
I nodded. “Thank you so much, dear.”
I looked at her closely. “You’re the girl from the other day, at the market right?”
She nodded. “Yes, I’m, ma’am.”
“You’re such an angel, dear.”
“You’re welcome, ma’am. I’m glad I could help.”
She bowed and went out of the room.
