Just came out of the bathroom, fresh from my bath.
I was heading to VDK today. I grabbed a towel to dry my hair, and another wrapped around my waist.
Ryvessa was still sitting there, obviously lost in thought about what I told her.
It’s either she does it or I have her executed. She’s my mate...I can’t have her killed.
I can’t have her leave my side, or I’ll be dead. She was supposed to follow me to VDK, but I let it slide for today.
I needed her to agree first before dragging her into anything.
I muttered, “Excuse me, I want to dress.”
She pretended not to hear.
“Can you just get out so I can have my clothes on? You heard me.”
She looked over and said, “Not like I haven’t seen what you’re hiding.”
I was amused....this girl really has some guts. I let the towel slide from my waist and walked toward my wardrobe.
She screamed.
The f**k is wrong with this cop?
I turned to look at her and she shouted, “Put the damn towel on! You look like a shameless king right now.”
I chuckled. “I thought you said you’ve seen it. Why the heck are you screaming? Huh?”
She closed her eyes. “Drexel, just put it on. This wasn’t the size I saw last. Does it mean your dude grows every day?”
Why is this girl so rotten and naïve at the same time? At the sight of her cute face as she closed her eyes, I turned on.
But I have a lot of important things to do.
I creamed my body, wore my boxers and singlet. She kept screaming, “Aren’t you done? Or are you still walking around naked?”
She was about to open her eyes when I said, “I’m naked!”
She shut them back immediately.
I laughed so hard. Was she really making me laugh like a whole me? I was shocked. I never knew this girl from anywhere, even though she killed Samantha! It didn’t even trouble me.
I laughed and said, “Alright, I’m done. You can open them now.”
She slowly opened her eyes and breathed out.
I sat on the bed. “Ryv…”
She ignored it at first, still trying to prove hard.
“You’re not deaf, right?”
She turned toward me. “What do you want?”
I said, “My closet looks empty.”
She frowned. “And what am I supposed to do? You have your money.
You don’t sleep on it, right? Then go get new clothes. Besides, I’m not blind...there are literally thousands of clothes there.”
I heaved. “Yeah, there are, but I don’t know which to wear.”
She looked at me like I just spoke Spanish. She laughed. “So… do I look like someone who chooses clothes for you?”
I stood up.
“Well then, I thought you were pretending to be a maid not quite long ago. Why change that?”
She looked nervous. “Well, that was then.”
I muttered, “You’re lucky seeing this cool side of me. You wouldn’t be locking eyes with me if not for one thing."
“And what’s that thing?” she asked.
I looked at her, stood up, and walked to my closet. She stood too. “what the hell, Drexel, I asked you a question.”
I ignored her and brought out a dark grey suit. Wore it and walked to the mirror. Slicked my black hair with some gel.
I took my keys and turned, facing her. Grabbed her waist. She struggled, but my grip was way stronger than hers.
“I’m going to my kingdom.” I said clearly for her to hear.
Her eyes were pretty, but hell, she wouldn’t stop talking.
“And how’s that my business?” she said
“I’m just giving you some instructions you’re to follow. First, don’t even think of escaping...that’s the worst thing you can ever think of.
Two, do not cross the line of that door, else Godmother is going to kill you if she finds out you’re the criminal.
And lastly, keep my room clean. Don’t know when I’ll be back, but prepare food for me and stay safe.
And here, wear this. Anytime you need anything, just talk to me through your mind.”
I released my grip from her waist.
She looked at me like I was some weird fool. She laughed.
“You’re talking about what? Do I look like I’m some baby that you give out silly instructions? Don’t forget I’m here to arrest you!”
I showed her my two hands. “Here, handcuff them. If I wouldn't pin you and hit that v so hard.”
She moved back like she just touched something hot.
“Do whatever I instructed you on, or else you’ll be punished.”
She nodded.
I muttered, “Good girl,” and walked out of the room.
She’s going to be safe, sure.
I saw Godmother at the door. She eyed me. Looks like she was leaving. She was surely angry with me, but I’ve got a lot on my table right now.
I’ll send money to pay off Samantha’s family.
I muttered, and she spoke, “Is that all, Drexel?”
I turned to her, looking pissed. “And what the f**k do you expect me to do? Huh?”
She looked disappointed, but I don’t give a damn.
She said, “Valerian, don’t you dare speak to me in such a manner. The girl who died in question is your wife-to-be.
You didn’t even care how the funeral was going to be or think of visiting her parents.”
I shook my head. “You can represent me. I have better things to do.”
I entered my car, not wanting to see her expression or hear further talking.
I drove out of the mansion, hitting the road like I’m some normal human while my mate wants to arrest me. Funny how she thought she could.
