I mind-spoke with him. “Why the tone? Huh? You’re becoming annoying these days.”
“Why won’t I get annoyed, huh? When you have a mate that’s human!
Where on earth is she going to get her wolf from? Or is it magic?”
“We’ll find a solution, Dex. Stop acting strange. What the heck is wrong with you?”
I shouted because I’m pissed already. He’s ruining my mood.
“Just cooperate with me this time, please,” I snarled.
“Alright, fine. You said there’s going to be a solution, but how’ll there be a solution when you aren’t even looking for one?”
“I’ll see Ephesus later,” I muttered.
“Drexel, I know you’re angry and pissed at me. Dex said.
I’m just concerned about Ryvessa. She’s a human, it ain’t gonna be easy.
Your world is dangerous, but can she cope?” he asked.
“Don’t bother worrying about her. She’s with me. I said, saying it like an affirmation.

I nodded. “Of course. Just be communicative this way we won’t be quarrelling all the time.”His reply came, yes boss.
I looked over to Ryvessa.
Cop was sleeping. The way she sleeps these days is becoming alarming. Her hair was scattered all over her face.
I had to remove every strand. No doubt, my woman is beautiful. Damn, we’re gonna have cute pups.
The hell was I thinking about that right now? I don’t want her to have children yet.
I want to kill all my enemies, have a peaceful life, then make babies.
I don’t wanna let my children see me in any criminal case, ’cause I wanna be a good dad to my kids.
I mind-linked Sky and Milan, telling them to report to my room.
They teleported in immediately, like they had been waiting for me to call them long enough.
Milan frowned, looking at me with her nails becoming longer, it always came out longer when she’s angry.
“Boss, who the hell is on your bed? Is she trying to seduce you?”
She said while moving closer to Ryvessa.
I stopped her midway with my power, slamming her on the wall.
“She’s part of me now. You’ve to respect her the way you respect me! Is that clear?”
She shouted, “Yes, boss.”
I turned over to Sky.
“Announce officially to the packs that the Alpha has returned.”
He nodded respectfully while helping Milan out as they teleported out.
I stood up from the bed, placing Ryvessa properly and covering her with the duvet.
I used my powers to create a barrier protecting her from anyone who comes in.
While I teleported to East Cappadocia....to Ephesus’ mansion.

I got to his main seat room.
He wasn’t there, but he came immediately, using a sword to hit my back.
I knew this...I was prepared also. I stretched out my hand, and my sword appeared.
We started fighting, swords clanging against each other.
“When will you stop this, Drexel? Must you always retaliate?” he said.
I grinned.
“You can’t hit me and expect me to not to touch you.”
He lost his balance, and I pointed the edge of the sword at his neck.
He dropped his sword, meaning he surrendered.
But the Ephesus I knew was way too cunning. He held it immediately and made my sword fly out through the window.
He laughed. “You’ve lost a lot of focus, both your Alpha instinct because of your mate.
She really tamed the Almighty Lord.”
I hissed and ordered my sword back while it came to my hands. “Isn’t it cool?” I asked him.
“I now have a mate, but the bad news is that she’s human.
How the hell do I inform the council these?”
I asked.
“Boy, drop that sword and sit for an answer.”
I dropped the sword and he went over to his chair...like a throne.
That’s how he loves behaving,
always feeling himself at every interval.
“Enough drama, Ephesus. Just tell me what to do.”
He stroked his white beard and said, “You’ve to be patient, Drexel.
Can you be patient for ten years?”
He asked, using one eye to look at me.
“You know I despise anything waiting. I love my things being done when I want it,” I replied sharply.
He said, “Then...I’m sorry to tell you that your mate will die! If you’re not patient.” he yelled at me.
I frowned, looking at him. “Why are you saying that?"
And Ephesus stood up, walking to his chair of sight...that’s where he gets direct answers from divine gods.
He sat there and shook his head.
Calling her name: “Ryvessa Reyes.”
Moon Goddess gave you a gem.
I know, I said, making him aware that I was worried.
“Calm down, Drexel. I know you want to know why she’ll die.”
He said, while closing his eyes.
Whenever he does that, it’s either he’s getting answers on what to do!
I was feeling really uncomfortable. At this point, I couldn’t bear the silence anymore.
And Dex’s voice came saying, “Relax, bro. Relax.”
I nodded, even while I felt like telling him to open those damn eyes and let me know what’s next.
As if on cue, he opened his eyes and said, “You’ve to protect her very well.
"I will" I snarled.
He shouted, “Shut up and listen to me."
I hissed.
“Ephesus, why are you making me feel tensed? Just tell me...I’m worried.”
He laughed and said, “The Alpha I know has never been this worried.
I bet the mate bond is super strong.”
He saw the deadly eyes I gave him and kept his cool.
His voice came in again, saying, “She’s not fully human.”
My jaw dropped. What the hell?
But I didn’t want to disrupt him.
But I guess he just loves teasing me. “Close your mouth,” he grinned.
“There are lots of people....and when I mean lots, every one of your enemies will be in need of her when they have her in captives.
She’s going to give you something great. That’s why you’ve to protect her with all your life.
Even in the human world, your mafia clan, they’re in need of her.
Short to say, all your enemies want something from her.”
My face turned red, my veins already popped out. It was shown that I was severely angry.
He smirked and said, “It’s not a matter of being angry or not. What you’re to be asking yourself right now is if you can protect her.”
He looked away and continued, “Like I was saying, she’s not fully human.
I’m sure you’ve done the nuptial bonding. You saw the mark shining on her chest, but did the mark appear long or is it still on her body?
No, right? That means someone is hiding her mark, and that mark contains her powers in it.
Before the elders will believe that she’s your mate, they have to see that mark on her body.
If it isn’t found, she can’t be the Luna of the kingdom.”
The words were piercing me like I was dying.
I sat up nervously, asking him, “How can she get the mark back?”
He stroked his beard and said, “You’ve to find the person who hid it, to make it show.
Can’t I use my powers to do that?” I asked, because I was becoming confused.
Ephesus laughed. There was nothing funny in this.
I frowned, and he said, “You can’t, Alpha. She’s hybrid.
The person who hid the mark is also of the same species, but the gods said I should give you an hint...that the person is her twin sister, who also loves you.”
I guess that’s all for today.
He stood up, going to the main chair. Whenever he leaves that chair of sight, that’s all the divine has told him.
“Does she have a twin sister!”
“Why are you asking me? Am I her? Go and ask her.
I’ve told you all you want to hear. I don’t know who hid her powers.
I don’t know the twin. The ball is now in your court.
That’s why I told you....while doing all these, protect her and have patience.
It’s not going to be easy to make the mark visible! And remember, your council is waiting.”
Having said that, he vanished, leaving me to my thoughts.
