Destined Mates

Chapter 3

We wondered through the forest silently until we reach the open area I usually hang out in. Gabe looked at me amazed, "Wow. It's so beautiful here. How'd you find it?"

"I found it my many journeys for a spot I could shift in alone."

"Why do you have to shift alone, babe?"

"I'm a white lycan. Like I said before and I'm larger than most are."

"I'm a lycan, too."

"Cool, how about we both shift and look at each other then shift back and talk."

Gabe and I both shifted and looked at each other in amazement. He was the exact opposite of me. Everywhere I was white, he was silver. I discovered that while I was out, my wolf had changed and I now had a black lightning bolt on by right hip. While Gabe had the same lightning bolt but on his left hip and white. We were about the same size, which amazed me because I was female and he was male but my lycan explained it to me.

We are the same size as mate because we are both royals. Royals are all the same size showing that males and females are equal.

Okay but why are we opposites of each other. Li-

We are mates from a long time ago. We have never met before but should have met many moons ago. Such as the first time I was someone's lycan.

What happened to you then?

Oh, we died in a rouge attack when we were just 5 months old. My mate died at birth since I and my person were no longer alive. The moon goddess wanted us to be born at the same time and we needed to find our mates to start the Lycan race over again.

Okay. So Gabe and I are soul mates. More so than werewolves?

Yes, you have been destined to be together since Lycans have been endangered.

Gabe and I shifted back, both still wearing our clothes ; perks of being a lycan.

"You're so beautiful! I have never seen a white wolf before!"

"Thanks!" I say blushing.

"If you don't mind me asking, are you a royal?"

"Yes, I am. Are you?"

"Yeah, my parents told me after I got my lightening bolt. Which was the day I met you, and you were being rushed to the hospital."

"I think that's when I got mine too. I didn't have it before I got hurt."

Gabriel and I started making our way back to the pack house when I noticed something off with him. "What's wrong?"

"Nothing. Just thinking."

"But your eyes are dark and you smell funny."

"I'm thinking about you."

"Oh." I say, looking away from him. I know he wants us to mate, my lycan keeps telling me to make a move on him, but I don't want to. If it gonna happen, Gabe has to make the first move. I am very traditional that way.

I want mate, please.

He has to want us too. I'm not going to force it on him. I want him to make a move, not us.

"What are you thinking about?"

"I'm just talking to my wolf."

"Okay. Where are we going?"

"Back to the pack house. Why?"

"I want more time alone with you."

"Me too. We can watch a movie, seeing as it starting to get late. Jake and Blake can come too. Right?"

"Sure, but that's not alone time."

"It's as close as we can get. Jake and Blake are still saviors to me."

"Okay, let's go. I'll mind link them, tell them to meet us in the kitchen."

The boys were sitting in the kitchen when Gabe and I got there, they already had a huge bowl of popcorn sitting beside them. They glanced up at us, then followed me to the media room. Gabriel and I chose the love seat while the boys each took a chair and placed the popcorn on the table between us all.

"I can't believe you guys are already hanging out this much," gasped Blake. "I mean... It's amazing, and I love you both."

Earning a growl from Gabe as he said he loved me,"Only I can love her, she's mine."

"Calm down, babe. I will always be yours. Don't worry, he can love me without wanting to mate with me."

"But... I want to be the only one to love you." whined Gabe.

"Enough you two, you can be all matey later. Let's get the show on the road."

We watched 2 movies, the boys wanted Open Season and Open Season 2. Luckily we had enough popcorn to get through. Jake and Blake went up to their room, meanwhile, Gabe wanted to take me for a walk down to the lake. As we made our way down to the lake, I growled, "Rouges, north border."

"What do we do?" question Gabriel.

"YOU are NOT fighting." he demanded.

"I won't be fighting, I am still too weak. You aren't fighting either. The warrior have it handled, I've already told them and my dad, so we're all good."

Gabriel picked me up and carried me back to the pack house, despite my protests. He asked me where my room was and I reluctantly told him, hoping I had remembered to clean it lately. Thankfully it was spotless, Gabe set me down on my bed and lied down beside me. I attempted to get up but he grabbed me and pulled me back down.

"Where do you think you're going?"

"To get changed," I say innocently.

"Okay, but no longer than 5 minutes, or I'm coming in your closet."

"Not a problem, see you soon."

Man he sure got possessive quick.

That was his wolf speaking. Didn't you see his eyes go from blue to yellow?

No, I wasn't looking at his eyes.

OK. Better hurry. Derek doesn't like waiting.

I can't believe I didn't ask your name the first time we spoke.

It's fine you were in a hurry before, and stressed.

"I'm coming in soon!" yelled Gabe.

"Derek, calm down. I was talking to Kate. Just give a few more minutes."

"Sure, sure."

I hurried getting dressed, burst out of my closet and ran to the bathroom before Gabe could grab me. Derek growled at me and told me to hurry my ass up or I'd pay. I took off my make up and quickly brushed my teeth before reappearing the Gabe.

"You're so gorgeous. Sorry, my wolf took over for a second."

"Don't worry, I made him let you back in control before I came out. He sure is possessive isn't he."

"Yeah, always has been. He's been better, thanks to Kate."

He's a sucker to my ways.
