Bassey drops the jelly

"Bassey." it's time for school! Bassey wakes up. Bassey gets ready. She goes to the kitchen to make her packed lunch for the day. She grabs a banana and puts it in the brown paper sack. She goes to grab an apple sauce and reaches to grab the new mixed berry jelly, and the jar slips out of her hand. the jelly goes everywhere. Bassey's Mom arrives quickly and starts cleaning up broken glass and mixed berry jelly. "Bassey, go change and clean up. I'll finish here and then we'll take you to school. " "Alright, Momma." Bassey was bothered with the fact that she dropped the jar of jelly. She thought it was really clumsy of her. Bassey didn't really know a lot about cooking. She new basic stuff like making sandwiches and making Ramen noodles. She would love to come home from school and make a bowl of noodles. And after school was finished, and her Mom brought her home, that's the first thing she did. while she was making her Ramen noodles, she heard her Dad coming in the door home from work. He was a cook at the diner across the road. so he always would smell like food when he came home. " Hi Bassey! How was your day?" Bassey gave her Dad a big hug. " It was good. I dropped the jelly this morning and we were kind of late getting me to school. But I really want to learn more about cooking so I feel comfortable in the kitchen.... Can you teach me Daddy? "Well..., I think it's the perfect time, Bas." sometimes her Dad would call her Bas, but most of the time he would call her Bassey. And sometimes he would include the middle name.. Bassey Milee Seigha was her full name.. The Seigha family was just Bassey and her Parents. And Bassey loved being the only kid. Although sometimes she thought about having a little brother and sister. Bassey and her parents were close and there was always good communication. Bassey was never reprimanded. Instead, her parents would take the approach of teaching her without them adding consequences to a situation. Bassey made great grades in school and her parents would take any time necessary to help with school work and Bassey's academic success was intentionally made to be important in life. Bassey knew that she had great parents. She appreciated her Dad and Mom for everything they did to help her to have a successful life. When the Seigha parents decided to make Bassey, they were intentional about being good parents and investing their time and effort to lead Bassey on the path to a good life. As a result Bassey was intelligent and talented. she was enjoying her experience growing up to be the best person she could be. She was highly motivated and determined to succeed. Her Dad taught her some things about cooking and they cooked dinner. After dinner Bassey starting getting ready for bed. She put pajamas on, brushed her teeth and crawled into her comfortable full size bed. she loved the feeling of the clean sheets that her Mom put on her bed. they were still warm from the dryer. Her Mom came into Bassey's room. "Goodnight Bassey!" I love you so much. And thank you for dinner this evening. It was wonderful. I can't wait to see what you and your Daddy make next. " "I love you too Momma!" Her Mom left and then her Dad walked in. "Hey Bassey! Great job with dinner!"...... A moment went by. it was a quiet and peaceful moment. "We'll learn more tomorrow. I'm off of work and we can spend all day in the kitchen...... I love you Bassey Milee! have good dreams... good night. " "Good night Daddy ". Bassey thought about the wonderful day that she had and then she said her prayers. "Thank you God........ .................. Bassey fell asleep. What a wonderful day in the Seigha family home.
