Rex quickly apologize on Laura's behalf and whispered to her hearing, "Do you wish to get into trouble? You don't counter the Alpha words."

"Do I care? I came here to make sure I respect their law, he calls his home mine and wishes to separate you from me." She replied.

"If you wish to return home soon, obey the Alpha and do not counter his words now, I will be leaving now as he has instructed," Rex responded, and she felt unhappy about it.

The elders present wondered why the Alpha did not give orders to punish the human who countered his words, instead, he forgave her.

"I won't repeat myself again." Alpha Keda added and Rex left immediately waving at his friend.

Alpha Keda kept admiring Laura, and she felt so unease seeing the way he looked at her, then one of the Elders got the Alpha's attention saying, "Shall we proceed My King?"

"Yes go on." Alpha Keda replied.

"Young lady, introduce yourself to the Alpha properly and be more respectful."

"My name is Laura white, and it's my family's turn to give sacrifice to the Alpha home that is why I am here."

"Laura, you won't be returning home like I said, take her to her room and prepare her for dinner with me tonight." Alpha Keda declared and she was shocked about it.

"What is the Alpha up to?" She kept asking herself.

"This way." A guard walks to her to direct her.

"After you." She replied to the guard who walked her in the direction of her room saying, "This is your room for now, after the dinner, the Alpha will make an announcement if your sacrifice is accepted or not."

"Oh I see, that's why I was asked to stay back, thank you so much, I will be on good behavior, so I can return home to my best friend and parents."

"I don't know, for now, if you need anything else, ring the bell here, and I will be at your call." He said showing her the bell.

"Okay, thank you very much, can I have a tour around? I hate staying in a spot for too long." She requested.

"Sure you can but be careful not to break anything and take note of places that say out of bound." The guard advised her, and she nodded her head in response to what the guard said.

The Supreme Elder got informed about what happened earlier, and he was happy and sad about it at the same time, the reason for his happiness was the fact that he could make the lady his Queen, but the sad part is, knowing she is just a weak human.

Someone like Alpha Keda needs a female werewolf as a mate and not a human at all.

"What will I do?" He questioned himself walking to and fro in his closet.

"If the Alpha shows he has much interest in her. She must end up with him, but he needs a female werewolf this time."

He said.

"Supreme Elder, I want to see you right now." Alpha Keda's mind-link with the Elder.

"Yes Alpha Keda, I will be there at once." He ended the mind link.

Alpha Keda could not stop smiling at his closet," She is just too beautiful, and I want her to be mine alone, I have never seen a star like her shining so bright."

The elder presence was announced, and he was let in.

"Greetings Alpha Keda." He showed respect as usual.

"Laura white, find out everything about her and her family as well, I need to know what she likes, hates and more at once."

"Yes Alpha Keda, you seem to like her?"

"Yes I do and like I told you before, make it happen to have a queen by my side after the full moon, you may have your leave now." He said, and the Elder bowed down again before leaving finally.

The maids were seen together talking, "I have a feeling something is off in this place."

"What makes you think such?"

"Some of us are getting missing and no one is saying anything about it." Another maid contributed.

"We are nobody remember? Even if we go missing, no one cares about us, we can easily be replaced at any given time."

"I know that but don't you think we find out ourselves what exactly is taking our friend from us. The last time we heard from Mira was when the Alpha sent her to get a scroll and wine to drink."

"Yes you are right, I haven't seen her since that day, what could have happened to her?"

"What if the rumors are true?"

"What rumors?"

"The vampires living with us in disguise, I think they are trying to attack us this way."

"I am done here, I don't want to be in trouble because of this rumor, do not say what you have no idea about."

"I hope Mira is alive and not dead."

Laura heard the gossip and interrupted them saying, "Did you tell the Alpha about it?"

They all got shocked and lied about the discussion when one of them recognize her as the human the Alpha showed favor to.

They left immediately, and she played with her tongue, "There is no fun here at all, just fine places they have to behold." Laura added.

Laura took a walk admiring so many artworks in the Alpha home when she was drawn to an abandoned place where no soul could be seen, it shows out of bound, but she ignored it.

She got the boldness to go in saying, "What is this place?" Unknown to her someone was behind her watching her.

She entered another room which was very dark, and she lit the candles when she saw a dead girl, she open her mouth to scream, but someone covered her mouth pinning her to the wall.

"Why are you here? You made a wrong move to come in here, and you will be left dead."

"Please don't kill me, I beg of you." She started pleading for mercy, the unknown man was about to use his claw to kill her when his wolf side kicked against it and said, "Mate, Mate."
