Alpha Ricky's mother started calling out her son's name making others come to her aid, and they concluded she has lost her senses and must be kept in chains.

"I am not crazy, my son came here, I saw him, I saw his eyes." She yelled but they ignored her.

"Alpha Keda we have carried out your request, she is tied up in chains."

"Good, lastly if you see anyone spreading the rumors of my dead stepbrother being alive, kill them, my stepbrother is dead and should be resting in peace, I wonder why they are troubling his soul." He said and they bowed down before leaving.

No one dare talk about the incident that just took place for they value their life more than any other thing.

Laura woke up the next day and skipped breakfast by rushing to see her best friend Rex.

Her parents were unaware that she left the house, when her mother came into her room, she noticed the bed was empty and her daughter tricked her by covering the pillow to look like she covered herself.

"What is wrong with this child? She needs to be prepared before leaving for the Alpha home." She added.

Rex was fast asleep when the knock on his door woke him up, still feeling so dizzy and weak, he managed to stand on his feet to get to the door and saw his best friend, his eyes got widened.

"What are you doing here so early Laura? You must not be seen elsewhere today of all days." He whispered.

"I know that, that's why I am going to make it quick then you come with me as you promised." She said and he nodded.

She came in, and he locked the door behind them, "Why are you here?"

"Can I borrow The Truth for a few minutes? There is something I must check about in the book." She said, The Truth is a book that carries all information about the three kinds, but few doubted the book though Laura never for once doubted it.

"And why do you need such a book this early morning? Come on you need to go home now and get ready to visit the Alpha home okay?"

"I promise I won't waste your time, there is something I must check out in the book please, please Rex." She gave the puppy look again, and he looked down saying, "This is the very last time your loom will work on me, it's over there." He said pointing in the direction of the book.

"You are such a darling Mac." She kissed his cheek and went straight in grabbing the book and taking her seat at once flipping each page with her eyes glued to the book.

"Where is it?" She kept saying still flipping and Rex tried to think about what exactly she could be searching for in a book looking so serious and focused on it.

"Finally." She said reading out the lines of a human girl who had a dream when she was nineteen.

Rex realize she was spending more time than expected, he took the book from her saying, "Your mother I know will be looking for you, I don't want her to meet you here, go home and get ready for today."

"Fine, I heard you, but don't keep me waiting," Rex said walking out of the house.

Getting home, her mother was all over her with questions," Laura where did you go so early? Have you forgotten what today is?"

"I know mom, I will have my bath now to get ready for it." She said smiling at her mom.

"Okay, your dress is ready, and I know you will look good in it." Her mother added.

"Dress? I don't need to wear a special dress mom, it's just giving the sacrifice as the law demand of us and nothing more."

"I know that so my child, but I bet you, you will be the one thanking me after your visit there, trust me."

"Is the Alpha home so beautiful inside than the ones our eyes can behold outside?"

"Just wait till you find out my dear child, the Alpha hates lateness, so you won't get punished." Her mother advised and she nodded.

She finished having her bath and complained about wearing the dress she saw in her room, but her mother has spoken she has no choice but to wear them.

"I am ready mom." She called.

"Wow, you look so beautiful in this dress." Her mother added.

"Thank you, mom." Laura let out a smile.

"Sit, I need to dress your hair." Her mother requested, despite her argument, her mother won, and she had no option but to sit and let her mother do justice to her hair.

Her mother didn't just get her hair done but also applied a little makeup on her face to look more beautiful, and she said silently, "You look like a Queen."

Her father came in saying Rex and the guards are already waiting for her.

Stepping out, Mac admired her beauty and she blushed hard as well, her parents wished her luck as she left with Rex.

In not less than three hours they were present at the Alpha's home, the royal guard directed them to the Alpha chamber to wait for the Alpha who is currently busy.

"Finally I am in the Alpha's home," Laura added.

"Yes you are my best friend, I hope you don't mess things up with your tongue," Rex replied.

"I see, is that the reason you decided to come with me?" She inquired and he nodded.

"You are lying, and I am going to kill you for lying." She threatened to hit Rex, and they were both on the floor laughing out their ribs.

They got informed the Alpha was coming in, and instantly they took a position as he stepped in.

Rex and Laura bowed down blowing air with their hands to show respect. Laura's eyes meet with Alpha Derick, he could not take his eyes off her, he has fallen for the human then he said, "My home is now yours, your parents will be taken care of. As for you, you are to leave at once." He pointed at Rex, and she got provoked by countering the Alpha words by asking, "Why?"...
