Ross ran over to Dan Perkins. He had been hit in the right shoulder it appeared. He was bleeding badly. Ralph and Ross picked him up by the arms and ran with him to the Palace. Flora had heard the noise, looked out the front door of the saloon and saw the men running toward her with Dan in tow. She went into the kitchen, yelled at the cooks to put water on high heat fast. She went to the room stores and grabbed several sheets and ran back to the saloon. She yelled at the barman to set up two tables together, covered one with some of the sheets and waited.
