* * * Three days after Dan Perkins was shot three men rode into town from the southwest. They were Charles Ringo, Jamie Borland and Jeremy Grant. Jeremy was there to see what his money had bought, and to make sure both Ross Hendershot and Ralph Forney were dead. Ringo had two guns strapped to his sides which he meant to use. The guns were both Colt forty-five pistols. Both had short barrels, comparatively. They were not Buntline Specials but were made for a fast draw.
