The Runner Surfaces
It was weeks before Jason heard about the battle of the saloon and the death of the gunsels there. He didn't know who they were. He only heard people talking about the event as though it had just taken place the day of their conversation. It had been weeks. Upon hearing about the fight Jason began to prepare for leaving Swansea. He had been working two jobs there for a while. It had begun to pay off in the sense he was putting together a little bit of savings. He had ideas in his mind to head for California, find a little piece of land, develop the land, buy more, keep at it until he had a larger spread.
