***Chapter 1-3: The Beginning***
#chapter 1 :The contract :The room was dead silent. Only the sound of my own heartbeat filled the air.
Sitting across from me was the most dangerous man in the city.
Adrian Cross.
Alpha King.
They called him "The Beast".
"Sign it," his voice was ice cold. "One year as my wife. I’ll pay off your $50,000 debt. After one year... we’re both free."
$50,000.
That was my father’s debt. That was why the bank would take our house tomorrow.
My hands were shaking.
I had no other choice.
I picked up the pen and signed my name on the paper.
Mia Rose.
Adrian gave a small smile. But there was no warmth in his eyes.
"Welcome to hell, Mrs. Cross," he said.
I had just sold my freedom.
To the devil.
And I had no idea... this contract was never meant to last just one year.
###**chapter 2 :His Menshion His Rule *
The car stopped in front of a huge gate.
The iron gate opened and there it was - Adrian Cross’s mansion.
Black, massive, and just like him... cold.
The driver opened the door. I took a deep breath.
"Welcome to hell, Mrs. Cross" was still ringing in my ears.
Everything inside was marble. Expensive. Silent.
And standing in the middle was him.
Adrian Cross.
He was wearing a black shirt. Sleeves rolled up.
The moment our eyes met, his silver eyes sharpened.
"This is your room," he pointed toward the stairs.
"Rule number 1: You don’t leave your room without my permission."
"Rule number 2: In public, you are my wife."
"Rule number 3:" he stepped closer to me... "Don’t lie to me."
I could feel his breath on my face.
I nodded.
That night, as I lay in bed, there was a knock on the door.
Adrian walked in. He had the contract in his hand.
He tore the contract and threw it on the floor.
"The contract is over," he said.
"From now on... everything happens by my rules."
My heart sank.
The one-year contract... over on the first night?
So now... I was trapped with this Beast forever?
#*Chapter 3: the beast's obsession**
"The contract is over?"
The words slipped out of my mouth.
Adrian threw the pieces of the contract on the floor.
"Yes," there was command in his voice. "No more papers. Now it’s just me and you."
I stepped back. "But... you said after one year..."
"I said that," he came closer. "I never said I would agree to it."
His finger touched my cheek. Cold. Dangerous.
"You thought you would be free? Mia..." he laughed.
"The day you signed your name, you signed your fate over to me."
My heart was racing.
Was this fear... or something else?
The next morning the newspaper headline read:
**"Billionaire Alpha Adrian Cross Announces Marriage"**
And below it was my picture.
My phone rang. It was Mom.
"Sweetheart... what is this? You’re married?"
I couldn’t say anything.
Because at that moment Adrian came from behind and hung up the phone.
He whispered in my ear:
"Remember rule number 4? Don’t lie to me.
And rule number 5... from now on, you’re mine only."
The Beast had become obsessed.
And his obsession... was me.
Chapter 2: The Rules of The Beast
I froze.
His breath was on my neck. Cold. Possessive.
"Adrian... my Mom... she was on the line," I whispered.
"I know," he said, his voice low. "And what were you going to tell her? That this is just a deal? That you're not really my wife?"
He turned me around to face him. His grey eyes were dark. Not angry. Something worse. Something hungry.
"Rule number 6, Mia. You will never tell anyone this is fake."
"But it IS fake!" I snapped, pushing his chest. He didn't move. He was like a wall. "You needed a wife for your inheritance, I needed money for my dad's hospital bills. That was the deal! Six months!"
He suddenly grabbed my wrist and pulled me towards the big window. Downstairs, ten black cars were parked. Men in suits.
"Look," he said.
"What... who are they?"
"The media. And my grandfather's lawyers. If they find out this marriage is a contract, I lose everything. My company. My name. And you... you will lose the money I promised for your father's surgery. Tomorrow morning."
My heart dropped. He was right. I had signed it. I had no choice.
He saw the fear in my eyes and his expression softened. Just a little. He lifted my chin with his cold finger.
"Don't look scared, little wife," he whispered. "As long as you follow my rules, I'll give you the world. But if you break them, I can't let you go. Not now. Not ever. I tried, Mia. God knows I tried to stay away from you. But now that you have my name, I can't live without you."
My heart wasn't just racing from fear anymore. It was something else. Something dangerous.
And at that moment, his phone rang. On the screen it flashed: GRANDFATHER.
Adrian's whole body tensed.
"The real game starts now," he said.
To be continued...
Chapter 3: The Grandfather's Order
The phone was still ringing. GRANDFATHER was flashing like blood on the screen.
Adrian didn't answer. His jaw was clenched.
"Why aren't you answering?" I asked.
"Because if I answer, he will want to meet you," he cut the call. "And I don't want anyone to see you."
I got angry. "Am I a doll that you will keep hidden? It was a deal, Adrian, not a prison!"
He laughed. A cold laugh.
"Prison? Mia, you still don't understand. I am the one who is trapped."
He slammed his hand on the wall, right next to my head.
"Before that night, I could sleep. I could breathe. Now, until you are in this room, I can't breathe. What is that if not a prison?"
Tears came to my eyes. His face was so close, but there was pain in his eyes.
Then the door of the room banged loudly.
THUD THUD THUD!
"Adrian Cross! Open the door! We know your so-called wife is inside! Mr. Robert Cross has sent us!"
Adrian's face changed completely. The pain was gone. The Beast was back.
He quickly grabbed my hand and pulled me towards the bathroom.
"Listen, no matter what happens, don't come out. And yes, remember Rule number 7? You are only mine. Don't let anyone else even see this hair."
He closed the door and I was left alone in the dark bathroom.
I heard a sound from outside. The door opening. And a heavy voice.
"So where is the girl for whom my grandson put a 2 Billion dollar company at stake?"
I got goosebumps. It was his grandfather.
And I understood. This marriage had to be kept secret not only from the media, but also from this house.
To be continued...Chapter 5: His Wife
The door handle moved.
Click.
My heart stopped. I closed my eyes and held my breath.
Then I heard Adrian's voice. Louder this time. Angry.
"Enough, Grandfather!"
The handle stopped.
"What do you think you are doing? This is my room. My wife's room," Adrian shouted.
I heard heavy footsteps going back.
"Your wife?" His grandfather laughed. "If she is your wife, then why is she hiding in the bathroom like a scared mouse? Call her out. Let me see if she is worthy of the Cross name."
Silence. For two seconds.
Then Adrian walked to the bathroom door. He knocked softly. Only for me.
"Mia."
It was just one word. But it was not an order. It was a request. Please come out.
I took a deep breath. My hands were still shaking. I remembered what he said. You are my wife. Not by contract. Say it.
I opened the door.
I was wearing his big white shirt from yesterday. My hair was messy. My eyes were red from crying.
His grandfather was standing in the middle of the room. Old, tall, with the same cold grey eyes as Adrian. But his eyes were colder.
He looked at me from head to toe. Up and down. Like I was something cheap.
"So this is her?" he said to Adrian. "This is the girl you married without telling me? A girl with no name, no family background?"
Adrian stepped in front of me. He covered me. Like a shield.
"She has a name. She is Mia Cross. My wife. And that is the only background she needs."
His grandfather stared at me for a long time. Then he smiled. A dangerous smile.
"Okay. If she is a Cross, then prove it. Tomorrow night there is a big party. All the investors will be there. The media will be there. Bring her. Let everyone see if she can be a real Cross wife. If she fails, Adrian, you know what will happen. You will lose the company and I will annul this marriage myself."
He turned and walked towards the door. Before leaving, he looked at me one last time.
"Welcome to the family, little girl. Let's see how long you survive."
The door closed with a loud bang.
I fell to my knees. I couldn't breathe.
Adrian knelt down beside me. He held my face in his big hands.
"Hey, hey, look at me. You were so brave."
"I can't do it, Adrian," I whispered, crying. "That party... everyone will know I am fake..."
"You are not fake," he said, wiping my tears with his thumb. His face was so close. "Tomorrow night, you will not be a contract. You will be mine. Only mine. And I will make sure no one else dares to look at you."
He picked me up in his arms and carried me to the bed.
And for the first time, I didn't push him away.
