Forty-Six: Clay
I wake up cuddled up to Lyra’s back and the feel is amazing. She has come to be my whole world in such a short time. I don’t know how she burrowed her way into my heart. One moment I’m just watching her. Then the next thing I know we are cuddling and laughing at some nonsense and touching each other. Making love to one another. I hear a noise outside of the tent. Andre pops his head inside the flap. “Hey come on. We need to hunt up some food. They want to leave early in the morning.” He says to me as I move to get out of the cot. It was too funny, every time I moved back so did Lyra. Searching for my heat. It brought a smile to my face.
