Anguished Heart Of A Warrior Never holding on. Always letting go. There's someone for everyone they say. Yeah I know. The solitary path No infidelity, nor wrath. An addiction. No mere affliction. A relapse. Never being the one. Love is only for fun. Will it ever be everlasting? That hope is gone.. Tears are cried so often, Happiness is hard to seek. They've eroded into valleys Leaving canyons on each cheek. Pointlessly desiring someone Who fulfills this need. Exhaustion steming in the wake of More emotional hide and seek. Lost in the cost, Of mere fantasy. Left behind and grieving, Almost helplessly. Heart in so many pieces, From the same routine. World not meant for loving hearts, Each piece too small to see. Thanks to those that thought I was the one. Thinking that the path would end in more than just fun. Looking at the wreckage, left behind, where this begun. Light eclipsing slightly, clouds of doubt that hold back the sun. This feeling will be fleeting There was never any deeper meaning. Uniquely made for loving feelings. Not enough there that's worth keeping. Words these days not filled up with some pent up aggression. There are only feelings of sadness where once resided depression. Recovery will come sorting through the conclusion. That love has always been a lie, not just a word, an illusion. Retreating to the depths, a chance to treat some of these wounds. Do the best with what is left and back up on the horse soon. Battle starts again on the lonely path of a solitary soldier. The country road that leads back home. Loves embers left there to smolder….
