episode 1
Cold.
That was the only thing she could feel.
It seeped into her bones, wrapped around her like chains, and refused to let go. The damp stone floor beneath her was unforgiving, its icy touch a constant reminder of how far she had fallen.
Once, she had stood above all.
A Luna. A queen. A woman others bowed to.
Now, she was nothing.
A prisoner.
Her fingers twitched weakly as the heavy chains around her wrists rattled, the metallic sound echoing through the dark, empty cell. Her breathing was shallow, uneven. Each inhale burned, each exhale felt like it might be her last.
How did it come to this?
The question lingered, but deep down, she already knew the answer.
Betrayal.
Footsteps approached.
Slow. Measured. Familiar.
Her heart didn’t race. It didn’t ache. It simply… existed, as hollow as the rest of her.
“You’re still alive?”
The voice cut through the silence like a blade.
She lifted her head slightly, her dry lips curling into a faint, bitter smile. “Does that disappoint you?”
He stood before her, tall and untouchable, the same man she had once loved with everything she had. The same man who had sworn to protect her.
Her mate.
Her husband.
Now, a stranger.
His eyes held no warmth—only cold indifference, as if she were nothing more than a nuisance he wished to erase.
Behind him stood another figure.
Elegant. Beautiful. Smiling.
The woman who had taken her place.
“She is the true princess,” he said, his tone sharp and absolute as he pulled the woman closer to him. “You were nothing but a mistake.”
A mistake.
Five years of loyalty… reduced to a single word.
For a moment, silence filled the cell.
She expected pain. Anger. Something.
But there was nothing.
Just emptiness.
“And our son?” she asked quietly, her voice fragile but steady. “Does he remember me?”
The woman’s smile widened, cruel and victorious. “He calls me ‘Mother’ now.”
The words struck—but not where it mattered.
Her heart had already been destroyed long ago.
For a long moment, she said nothing. Then slowly, she lowered her gaze, her expression calm… almost too calm.
“Good,” she whispered.
Both of them frowned.
“If that’s the case,” she continued, her voice barely above a breath, “then I have nothing left to lose.”
Something shifted in the air.
Her husband’s expression darkened, as if sensing something he couldn’t quite understand.
But it was already too late.
The cold was spreading faster now, consuming her completely. Her vision blurred, the edges of the world fading into darkness.
So this was how it ended.
Not in battle.
Not with honor.
But in chains, abandoned by the very people she once lived for.
Her eyes slowly closed.
And in her final moment, a single thought burned brighter than anything else—
If I had another chance…
I would destroy them all.
---
“Wake up, bride.”
Her eyes snapped open.
Warmth.
Light.
Sound.
Her chest rose sharply as she gasped for air, her body instinctively pulling in breath after breath as if she had been drowning.
She was… alive?
Confused, she looked around.
Gone was the dark prison.
Gone were the chains.
Instead, she stood in a beautifully decorated room, golden sunlight streaming through tall windows. Soft fabrics brushed against her skin, light and delicate.
Her hands trembled as she looked down.
A white wedding dress.
Her reflection stared back at her from the mirror—young, flawless, untouched by suffering.
No scars.
No pain.
No betrayal.
Her heart skipped.
This day.
She knew this day.
The door opened suddenly, and a maid rushed in, bowing slightly. “My lady, it’s time. The Alpha is waiting for you at the altar.”
The Alpha.
Her mate.
The man who killed her.
Her fingers tightened slightly against the fabric of her dress.
This wasn’t a dream.
This was the past.
She had returned… to the very beginning.
For a moment, silence filled the room.
Then slowly, she lifted her gaze to the mirror again.
This time, her reflection didn’t look weak.
It didn’t look broken.
A slow smile curved her lips.
Cold. Sharp. Dangerous.
“Tell him,” she said softly, her voice calm but filled with something dark and unrecognizable…
“The bride… won’t be coming.”
