Casey's POV.
I yawned and spread my body in an unearthly way, that's when I heard the loud bang from the door, making cold shivers run down my spine, I then noticed the unexpected, when I noticed my mother, her face was covered with specs of tears.
" What's wrong mum?" I asked, evidently worried, she immediately came close to me, she then held my hand, before she started dragging me, her actions were rough.
"What's happening, mum?"I asked, but she was silent, I don't like the way she was silent, without saying a word, she continued dragging me, I immediately tried to remove my hand from her grip, that's when she stared at me, with more tears in her eyes.
"We need to run Casey, there is no time because the Blood moon pack is here to destroy our pack," she said, which made open my eyes wide in shock, we have been in the run for a while now, trying to find somewhere that we can have complete peace, I tried as much as possible to think of ways to be out of this situation.
" Let's run Casey, there is no time" she yelled at me when she noticed I was still standing.
" No...for how long are we going to continue running, we have to fight mum, we can't continue running," I said to her, but she shook her head, and she stared at me, almost like I have lost it.
" You can take my brothers, but I'm staying here to fight," I said confidently, which made her come closer to me before she stared intently at me.
" You will end up dying while doing nothing because they are way more powerful than us, they are more equipped than us, more pack members than us, and the chance of survival is very narrow," she said to me, but I was not listening, as I went out of the room, towards where the fight was intense.
That's when I noticed that Ryan who's the pack delta, and even my father and other pack members, were also there, fighting to their death, I felt like I betrayed my father, because my father was there fighting alone, while I was here trying to run away like a coward.
I then noticed a Wolf was trying to launch at my father, before he could come closer to him, I immediately transformed, I was already used to it, so the transformation was less painful, I then charged at the Wolf, I started fighting with all I got, I didn't care if I die or survive, I was ready to fight to my last.
That's how I continued fighting but the wolves were unendurable, they continue charging at us, and we were already exhausted.
" You need to stop Casey and run for life, we would handle this"my father sent me a mind link, but I was not listening, because I can't let my father struggle alone with the other alphas, even if I have to die, I was already ready to die with them, a solemn dead of honor.
" No dad, I'm fighting beside you" I sent him a mind link, making my decision even more firm and adamant.
He let out a howl before he started fighting with all he got, I can't help but want to fight beside him as well, then that's when my father called out my name.
"Casey!!" I couldn't get time to process the whole ordeal, not until I heard the voice of my father, he let out a husky growl, while trying to keep calm, I turned my head towards his direction, only to notice that he was bleeding profusely, it made me feel so much pain, I rushed towards the man who was holding a spare, I didn't wait for an order before I ravished the man In a split second, I noticed the man had me as a target, but my father had to risk his life to save me, I can't believe that this would be the end of my father, it hurt to know that he was ready to risk his life for me.
"You have to go... Run Casey" he said to me, I was shaking my head violently because I don't want to go just yet, I can't leave him here.
"You are the future of this pack, I can't let you die," he said, so with one last breath, I stood up, before I started running, with the last bit of my strength, a hoard of wolves troop in, following me, I can't bare the pain of losing the man who has always been there for me, I then huff some air, before I look for somewhere to hid myself, before I then transformed to my human self, I gently started sobbing, feeling nothing but immense pain, because everything was hurting me so badly, no matter how hard I tried to calm down, I just can't, I feel like I needed a way to get my shits together, I don't know what else to do.
That's when I heard the loud howl of my father, which indicates he has taken his last. My eyes blurred with tears.
"Where is that alpha wolf" I heard a group of men, asking in low tones, I kept quiet I didn't say a word because I was already so weak with what happened to my father, everything was hurting me so badly, I don't know what else to say, that's when I heard the voice, my mother.
"Casey... you need to come, we have to go," she said, I took one last breath before I stood up then I started following her, we started running with my Junior brothers who are still very young, I noticed my mother was sobbing. I know the pain that comes with losing a mate, the pain is always unbearable.
" You need to run faster," she said in between sobs, before I could say a word, I then heard her scream so loudly. I immediately rushed towards her, only to see a spare pierced into her, making her bleed profusely.
