The Past; The Storm

                                     We settled in for the night as we started preparing the meal after the men skin the deer and four extra rabbits Joe caught on the way here. Some more explored the cave and found smaller springs  A larger hot springs forth back. Many mothers took their pups to the smaller spring and gave them needed baths then place fresh clothes on them. .Bye the time the men finish with the meats all the pups had been cleaned. Some women thought it would be good to wash the dirty clothes and place them out to dry. By we ate everyone was in good spirits laughing and joking. After we all had eaten our fill the women hurry and clean up burying the trash in the soft ground inside the cave. I watch as Will stretch out the furs to dry near the fires. Some of the men were singing seeing that the storm outside will cover the noise. 

                                   Luna what are you thinking about sitting alone. You worry so much over us we know that, but we are safe in here and happy. We have food and we are warm. The storm can not harm us, You saw to that. We love you and are grateful for all you do for us. So please lune relaxes and rest you need to take care of yourself/ For your young family luna. Please try not to worry so much, I know our Alpha and mates are still alive and ok. They will find us luna I believe that.

                                 Thank you, Lucy, I do believe that as well. Just missing him that's all, your right we are definitely safe. I think I will go and soak in the hot spring and relax my muscle they ache from all the walking and running today. Not to say the sleeping on the cold hard ground these past few nights. 

                                 I think most feel the same. The hot springs are a plus as well. All the freshwater, I feel as if  I drank a lake full tonight, my stomach is so full. A lot say they wouldn't mind resting here for a few days till the danger passes us. We fear for you and your family if you get hurt or taken away, We know about the reward that been place on you and we think it is safer here for now.

                               You know that just maybe a good ideal  I don't want to place anyone in danger. Thank you Lucy I will speak with William about this. We may stay here for sometime before heading out to Silver Stone's pack. This is a wonderful place to be at as well, we have the falls outside full lush forest all around us. I feel the hunting will be good here and there are no packs that own this land so we are fine here.

                               After speaking with Lucy I went to find William and talk with him about what Lucy said and something that would be wise for us to do in the next few days or weeks.  I found William by the hot spring cleaning the skins getting them ready to dry by the fires. Hey, William sees you keeping busy here.. You seem to be getting a lot of these skin done well, I didn't come to talk on this. Lucy and I were talking about how the pack would like to chill a while here and rest up relax and give some time to calm down. Their fear for my safety and losing me or the pups, they know of the reward that Donald has out there. I don't want to put them in danger as well. We have too many young pups with us. I was thinking of this as a plan in about a week let's send a few of the men out to see what they can find out what Donald is up to and they may be able to learn who the other alpha is. Also any news on what has happened to those that stayed and their men and families. Also anything on Paul.

                                I was thinking that myself as I was cleaning these skins. How this may be the only real safe place we may find as we head to the Silver Stone pack. That sounds like a good idea sending them out there, seeing what they can find out there. Any news would be good right now., 

                                 Well, then we will send them out in a week give them time to travel and back with what they learn. We should do it a few times before we leave. Then after we can make a safer plan. maybe they can find something we could use to cook better like seasoning and a few pots. Some soaps would be nice for us and clothes.

                                We can send a few of the women out to see if they can find things for use in cooking with. Maybe they can find some clothes as well. Also turn some of this deer meat into jerky as well actually we can hunt more this way, turn we catch into jerky as we move on as we start to head towards your Brother-in-law's place. 

                                Then we have a plan now, I feel as a heavyweight has been lifted off my shoulder.  Now I can go and relax in that hot spring and really enjoy it. Not to say that my muscles are in need of a hot soak. It will be nice not having to get up two hours before the sun comes up for once. Not having to rush and get the pups up and ready and myself. Worrying we may not find food for that day. Now I'm off to relax in the spring see you after I'm done.

                                  After a long soak and curb, I got out and put on what clean clothes I had, and headed back in by the rest of my pack. I saw a few waiting to go that way to the hot springs as well, I'm thankful they give me that time to my self.  Now feeling fresh, clean, and relax I could drink some freshly made wild tea. I sat there and sipped my tea think about these past few days. After some time I was getting sleepy, so I  went to where my pups were and laid down and fell asleep in no time.

                                  The next morning I woke up late. The storm was raging on outside as some of the warriors had gone out for more wood for today it was by the fire pits drying out. The men were busy making tools out of the stone. They were chipping away at it and trying to sharpen them to cut the wood. William said there were a few fallen trees by us that we need to chop up and bring into here. The wind had picked up over the night and doesn't look as if it going to stop the thunder and the lighting is non-stop. 

                                 The lightning striking the ground making the earth groan and gently shake as the light turns and leaves back to the heavens from where it came. The thunder roars its a disappointment, as to the longing for the light, it split the air around it. Nature announcing her disprovable We feel the earth shake under us but we are safe in the cave from the weather outside.

                              After some time had passed us by, William and Joe had made a few axes making it easier to chop the large logs they brought in from our side. the time they finish there was more than enough wood for our fires, William also made us plates from the logs, Tom trying to hollow out the wood into cups for the young pups, Jor is making wooden toys for them as well/ While the men were doing this our pups were there watching and helping when they could, that kept them out of the women way while they were busily weaving baskets from the smaller branches off the trees from around the small pond. Others were cutting up the deer into thin strips to dry into the jerky. cutting up nice chunks for the midday meal preparing the vegetable as well. 

                                  Lily was by William watching him chop more of the log he is using to make the plates he'll be smoothing them so we can est off them. The twins are asleep so I and Rosemary come with me to explore the cave. as we walk and looked around we found a smaller cave in there not a lot of light as this huge one, still, we went in and found three different types of mushrooms in there. I mind linking some of the women to come help gather them, these we can dehydrate and take them with us when we leave this place.

                                     After we finish I sent them back to everyone else, we also found a bunch of herbs in there some that are very rare for healing. Rosemary and I walk on exploring every place we walked by, then we found I won't say a cave but a small cubby hole like. It showed us that at some time ago long ago that someone other than us also took refuge in here as well. I found a very old dairy and not too far from their things we found both laying together their arms around each other. How very sad it is that no one found it before now. They die together and I will see that they are buried together as well. William, I need you and Tom here right away. There is something I need you to see. I close the link after he replyed

                                    We start to look around there at what they left behind I place the dairy in my largest pocket and gently moved things. we found things that held up in there that we could use things to cook with, some jewelry that must have been her it was real jewels they were high rank so why were they in here, who were they running from. I hope it's in her diary. Still, we will give them the respect they deserve in their burial. Seeing this the way they die in each other's arms, 

. As we waited for them we look around hoping we would find more to tell us about this couple and how long they were here and why Who were they hiding from. There was nothing else just the jewelry and dairy.

                                     Maggie, what is it what is wrong? Calm down you to and listen we found this jewelry here and a dairy some odds and end some use full to us. Then there is this, I stepped aside and show them the old skeletons laying there under what was once was a blanket.

                                     They were of high-rank William and loved each other, so we will bury them together as in life as in death one together. they also will be given their last rights. No one should be forgotten,  not even them. I hope to find out who they were in her dairy and what happen to them when they died.  William then we place a marker for them. could mark their grave.

                                     After we had finished the burial we all left there the guys taking what we found that was useable to cook with. I and Rosemary went and set by one of the smaller freshwater spots and had some water to drink and talk about everything that has to happen in the passes days. When our stomach starts making noise we know it was time to get up and head toward the others When William came rushing towards us with that oh my god face. We both looked at each other and said, Lily.

                                      Maggie, you need to come back and quickly. Lily is crying and demanding you  OH s**t she now screaming and yelling and she just kicked Tony. She is a full meltdown, Maggie.

                                      Bull s**t she is, she in that I want my way mode. Let's go and I'll deal with my child's ill-temper. As I got closer I heard her loud and clear. it only took me a few minutes to walk to her. 

.                                    Once she saw me she looked at me smugly and stumped her foot. Hell, no little girl she just turned and walked away. I was there before she could take off running. I stop her in that spot turn her over my knee she starts screaming bloody murder before she got one spack. I had not yet laid a hand on her she started screaming bloody murder and once I spack her she acted as if I was killing her for that four smack to her butt. After I placed her on her feet and walked away leaving her there crying. when she saw no one was paying her no mind she stops and came to get her food to eat. After some time she was laughing all forgotten her paddling. As soon as we all finished eating we choose to lay the youngest of the pups and Lily didn't want to go to sleep. I ask if she was looking for another spanking she chooses to take her nape and in minutes she was out like a light.

                                        Now after we finished cleaning up burying the scrap some women went to nap themselves while others worked on their baskets. As for me it was finding somewhere that was comfortable and sit to read the dairy. hoping I can learn what I can about them but that may take some time. I open the book at the very beginning. 

                                        April 17, 1805 

                                    Dear diary today is my birthday. I'm 17 at last, mom said that my wolf will pop in my head as soon as she is awake I can't wait to talk to her. and at midnight I will have my first change into my wolf form and I hope I find my true mate as well. I am hoping it will end my father trying to use me as something to make a deal with. He said he wants to make an alliance with another pack when he finds one to make us meaning him stronger and more powerful. why can't have the same rights as my brother? They fought over it when he tries to make Alfred marry someone from another pack but HE found his mate and so did she two months later.

                                   Mother brought my gifts from her, my father gave me his last night A set of sapphire jewelry neckless, earrings and bracelets as well as a diamond set of jewelry. mother gave me a Jade set and pearls jewelry set a beautiful long evening dresses one black some high heels. Also some ivory hair combs for my hair. Emma and Alfred are taking me to the city.` they say I can have anything they are waiting for me to leave just wish he takes the black horse father bought last month they are faster but he said they are not used to this carriages so we are taking the white. It's a lovely day for the ride into the city. I am so excited to be going. talk later.

                                   Well, dairy I had a wonderful day today. we went to Miss Mayers dress shop today. We order me two more dress for my self one in red other in teal blue. I also have her making me two skirts a forest green and a deep purple with two blouses. I got a pair of boots. then we went to the department store there I got a floral scent perfume than a few tinks for my dressing table, some combs for my long hair. some lip colors for my eyes as well. My brother saw two large teddy bears for my bed. I also four rings from Kale.s  jewelry. Our last stop was where I got art supplies drawing tables, drawing pencils oil paints and water paints, and canvas to paint. 

                                  As we were driving up to our home, Nanna's carriages were in front of the house. Once we pulled in I quickly jump from the carriage and ran into the house to find them fighting. they hate each other since he refuses to help my uncle some years back before I was born. I ran into the parlor and yell at Nanna and fall into her arms. Nanna, you promised me not today this is my day, Daddy, please. Ather that it was peaceful. Well-child what have you bought for yourself, let's go upstairs and take a look won't we. She stops to order her driver to bring in my gifts and have them brought up to us then we descend the stair to the third floor to my rooms.

                                So tell my dear what all did you buy well you were in the city.                                                                                         We went to the dress make there I was measured for two dress two skirts and blouses some new hair combs more jewelry perfume those huge teddy bears brother insisted on and some new boots.

                               Here is your gift from me, go ahead open them. I know you will love them. After all two are what you been wanting but your father won't let you have. 

                               Oh Nanna he will be mad  I will put them where he can't see them. I take the two packages and open them carefully. Pearl handle knife that can be placed on the thigh so I can protect myself. the second was a small pistol to keep in your handbag. Thank you, Nanna. after I hide them I open the rest I got three more dress one was orange to yellow with yellow crystals over the top of it oh Nanna it lovely the next was a soft pink with small clear crystals on it the last was a royal purple it had real diamonds chip over the whole dress'Nanna it's breathtaking.

                              It's made for a princess as you are my child. Never forget who you are. now there are still some more for you to open..

                             Yes Nanna she gave me a diamond terra also a ruby one, a Camino broach, more art supplies, two bottles of bath salts, and soaps. oils for my skin. another bottle of perfume, two more sets of jewelry emeralds and black diamonds, two more dairies. thank you Nanna it a wonderful birthday so far.

                            Tonight my child you will get your greats gift your wolf.

                             What if she doesn't appear tonight then will I be wolfless.  I over him talking to mother one night down in his office, Hw said he disown me and .kick me out of my home and pack 

                           In came my maid and Emma to help me get ready for tonight as the maid was getting my bath ready Emma and Nanna to help me out of my clothes. Which dress do you wish to wear tonight that one with the daimon chips, with the diamond tiara on my head. My maid helps me into my bath, she washes my long deep auburn hair once done she wraps a towel around my head and holds a large bath sheet to cover and dry me then into my bedroom Emma had place satin garment to put on then I sit at my dressing table as My maid and Emma brush my hair trying to tame my curls. finally manage to put it up and have some curls hanging down. It looks so beautiful then they helped me into my corset and under slips, my dress. I did look regal. With the tiara on my head and, diamond earrings were not so big which suit me the necklace was a cluster of daimons and the bracelet was just the right size for me. Once they were all done I was able to look at myself in the mirror and I was so surprised at how I looked. Thank you both so much. Emma had to leave to finish getting ready herself. My maid helped me out of my dress and corset and under slips, then I had to stand in the bare minimum as the clock hit midnight I waited and when my father start to storm towards me angry, my bones started to crack and I cried out in pain. Mother tries to come to me but he wouldn't allow her or my brother to help. He yells let me go through it myself. He didn't do that to Alfred on his day. Nanna walk towards me he yelled to stop but she didn't and he dare not touch her he would die for it. She and Emma help me relax, finally, there was no more pain. everyone caught their breath and looked at me stunned. why are they looking at me that way Nanna?

                             Everyone it is time to change and run for the first time with my grandchild. After everyone change I lead the chase, we ran for miles coming to the lake. we stopped to rest and get a drink of fresh water. some ran around playing while others did what wolves do but I sat looking at the water then I turned and ran home with Nanna and mother following. I hadn't seen my father sent I change as I was head of them both I did not see my father until it was too late ' he knocked me to the ground and had me pined I linked my brother told him what father had done. You think you are better than me now that you were her mark. the great great granddaughter of our goddess means little to me. I will do as I plan to marry you off two another strong pack and make me the strongest Alpha out here. Your brother thinks he will alpha one day but I will kill him before I let anyone take it from me. as he is talking I keep my link out to my brother , mother, Emma, and Nanna. As he said all this he growled and a show of teeth made me frighten waiting for my brother to get to us. Farther was now threading Nanna she tried to come to my aid mother was growling and shaping at them. I'm afraid he soon will try to kill me he told us all. this made my brother send warriors that were loyal to him and my mother and me. they showed up quick and circled him he snarled at them and me then he tries to bite my neck but I push with my hind legs and turn he got my shoulder pretty good but after he took off into the forest.

                               Are ok sister, no he bite me on my shoulder he was trying for my neck. I don't understand why he did this. What are these double crowns mean and what did they make him so angry Nanna. 

                               It's because of who we are little or and the gift you will soon be given, the power he can never have that you will in time but it will also put you in danger as well. One day you will have to leave here and hide to be safe from him and others who will try to kill you and your mate.

                            Why Angelic., you saw us at the lake we are stronger than any other wolf here, we are more powerful than they are and our blood can heal many that alone makes us wanted. as your gifts appear they will fear us some will die for us as well.

                             My mother and Nanna took me into the house were the pack doctor was waiting she look at it and clean the wind and gave me meds to help keep any infection by said it was healing up faster than she ever seen before and then left. Mother helped me back into My dress I still wanted to finish my night not letting what he did stop me. My brother place guards he trusted outside and Nanna order some of her to come here explaining what had happened here tonight. I know tomorrow she will report it to the king and father will have a price on his head. Once they catch him he most likely will be placed in the castle prison for life.

                             Some had witnessed this and had told others as I and my mother came down the stairs everyone stopped talking and looked at us. Once we reach the bottom step my brother came up to us saying he was about to send everyone home. But why it is my party and I wish to dance and enjoy my birthday. Everyone shall we return to the ballroom I think they should have the tables set up by the wall with more food for those who are hungry and music to dance so shall we as I head to the ballroom many claps for me, once in there I dance with my brother and we laughed at my boldness. as we went around the room I smell this most wonderful smell of hot chocolate and honey cinnamon two of my favorite things. 

                              I follow that smell to where my Nanna stood talking to a tall handsome man he almost looked like an angel he had to be six feet six inches. I had never seen him around here, as I  got closer to him I hear a growl and he turns and looks at him we both said mate and he by me in a split second. He looks into my eye and smiles as he leans in to kiss me for the first time. It becomes quiet all around us everyone is looking my mother is crying and my brother and Emma are smiling but Nanna is happy.                    

                               When we come up for air my mate said I think everyone is watching us, let them watch I found my mate that is all they see. and he laughs. It's music to my ears it's deep but rich from the heart kind of laugh you want to hear.  He speaks not as our so he is from another country. This is when Nanna steps in, My dear children I am so happy for you both but more so for who you both are. let me give you name to each other my granddaughter Kaira and this is Duke Misha Nikolai Smirnov from Russia, he is also related to the king and our family . he is a distant cousin.
