Big Mistake

Sasha's POV

I mentioned to Taylor how I was going out with Amelia and Alpha Michael and she also wanted to join us along with Elly. They suggested we go to a popular bar where Taylor's crush was playing in his band.

Taylor made sure I was wearing a gifted outfit tonight so she could put it on social media. It was a mini silk green slip dress and I wore it back with some strappy high heels. We all went in a car together and I sat next to Alpha Michael in the back seat. The whole time I could feel his eyes on me and he had his hand on my thigh. I should be swooning since I've had a crush on him for so long but it just doesn't feel right when things aren't resolved with Massimo. 

Amelia is super friendly and was getting along with everyone and asking the girls if they knew of any single guys the girls could set her up with. Of course, Taylor and Elly squeal with excitement and start naming all the eligible bachelors they know including Elly's brother Erik.

"Alpha Michael, are you single?" Taylor asks and she gives him a wink through the rearview mirror

"I am, but I'm currently chasing a she-wolf I've liked for a very long time," Alpha Michael says while he gives me a little squeeze on my thigh. I can't help but feel butterflies in my stomach but need to remind myself that nothing can happen with Michael...yet. All the girls press him for more information but he just laughs and says no.

Once we arrive at the bar there was a huge line but of course, Taylor knows everyone and we went straight through. The bar was packed and Taylor guided us to a booth that she reserved for us. Alpha Michael was shouting us all drinks and he asked me to follow him to the bar. 

"I spoke to Erik," he tells me over the loud music

"and?" I nervously ask

"I asked him if his mum was ok as I saw that she was shaken up. He said that you just reminded her of someone she knew that had passed away and she's ok now " Michael gives me a reassuring smile and tucks a strand of hair behind my ear.

"So do you think they suspect anything? Did he ask you any questions about me?"

"Nope. Not one question. I think if anyone does think you look-alike they'll think it's just a coincidence"

"I feel so relieved. Thanks Michael" I go on my tiptoes and give him a kiss on the cheek.

Michael was about to say something to me until we're suddenly interrupted by Erik and his friends. They're all so happy to see him and give him bro hugs and fist bumps and I notice Erik doesn't look too happy.

"Boys, I want to introduce you to a very good friend of mine, Sasha," Michael says so proudly

I recognize them from the airport and shake their hands. When it comes to Erik, we just stare at each other for a few moments and then he leans in to give me a kiss hello on my cheek and I feel faint tingles all over my body. 

"Would you guys like to join us? We have a booth over there" Michael asks and I give him an annoyed look as the last thing I want to do is spend my night with Erik. Michael notices and mouths 'what' to me pretending he doesn't know how much I dislike Erik.

"We would love to," Erik says way too eagerly, turning to me with a huge smile.

"Great! What a fun night this is going to be" I roll my eyes and help Michael with the drinks. Erik and their friends already have drinks in their hands and they follow us to the booth. Amelia's face lights up when she sees the good-looking men approach the booth and stands up immediately to introduce herself. Amelia is very attractive and I can see all the guys check her out but not Erik. He's talking with Michael but I keep catching him staring at me.

Elly's face lights up when she sees a guy I was just introduced to whose name is Dom. Then I remember that's the guy she had mentioned that she has a crush on. I end up sitting in between Taylor and Robbie and across from me is Alpha Michael, Amelia, and Erik and to my right is Elly and Dom.

"Where did you learn to fight?" Robbie asks me. Robbie is very handsome but I can tell he is a lady's man. He is resting his arm on the back of the booth seat and is leaning in close, and his eyes are on my chest- No shame! He quickly looks up and looks at Erik and shuffles back and looks me in the eyes.

"I was taught from a very young age from various different teachers" I reply and notice everyone's eyes are on me

"Well, I've never seen anyone take down warriors so quickly. No offense Amelia" says Dom

"Oh, no offense taken. I'm not a warrior like Sasha. I knew I would be out the first day but thought it was a great opportunity to be recognized as a model. Hopefully, some work comes up for me in America and I can stick around" Amelia says, staring at Erik. I feel slightly annoyed at how flirtatious she is being with Erik but feel happy that I know Erik will be turned off by that comment.

"Actually, Sasha is the one who taught me how to fight from the age of fourteen. My own father said I would never be strong enough to be an Alpha and would try and train me but I just couldn't beat anyone.  Sasha taught me how to fight every summer and I become the second strongest warrior in Italy" Michael says winking at me

"Who's the strongest?" asks Dom

"I'm looking at her" Michael says taking a sip of his whiskey staring at me. 

"You think you could beat my boy, Erik?" Robbie chuckles and fist bumps Dom

"There's no way a weak she-wolf like me who is only here for the fame could beat the all mighty Erik" I scoff, rolling my eyes. Erik laughs and leans across the table. I feel his sparkly hand under the table touch my knee. Erik is about to say something and my phone vibrates and Massimo is calling me. I excuse myself and tell everyone I'm going to freshen up. I walk up the stairs towards the restroom sign and find a door that says rooftop. I go through the door and answer his call.

"Mo?"

"Hey, how was your first day?" hearing his voice makes me miss home and I try to fight back the tears.

"It was ok..." my voice fails me and I start to cry

"Sasha? come on,  please don't cry. Did something happen? I'll get the next flight over if you let me" Massimo pleads

"No, no, I'm fine I just miss you and mum. Tell me what's happening back at home and then maybe that will make me feel better" I tell him as I wipe the tears from my face

"Well, I took your mum for another ride today and she seemed really happy... what else can I tell you? everyone at the restaurant misses you and is following you on social media. I'm also following you now Miss Colombo"  Massimo chuckles 

"Oh please don't, it's so embarrassing. I know you will never let me live it down" 

"Come on! I'm your number one fan, plus I like seeing what you get up to every day" I hear a girl's voice in the background calling his name. It then sounds like he is covering the mouthpiece and the voices sound muffled. 

"Mo?... MO!?" I shout

"Sasha, I'm sorry but I have to go. Call me tomorrow ok" he says, stumbling over his words and then the phone hangs up.

He must be with a woman and he didn't want me to hear.

I know I shouldn't feel jealous but I can't help the way I feel. I hear the door behind me open and I quickly turn around. It's blue eyes!

"Hey, I came to check on you?" Erik says and I turn back around looking at the view. He walks over and stands next to me and his arm accidentally touches mine and I feel those weird sensations again. 

"Why would you do that? Because I'm a weak she-wolf!" I grunt, refusing to look his way.

"Can we please start over again? I feel like something always comes between us and we can never have a proper conversation. First, it was the plane ride, then the gym" I cut him off

"Plane ride?" I ask, with a confused look on my face.

"I sat next to you on the plane ride from Rome to LA. You were knocked out, sleeping on my shoulder the whole way. I wanted to stay back to make sure you were ok but the flight attendant said she would take care of you" Erik says with a huge grin on his face and I can feel the blood rush to my face

"Please tell me I didn't drool on you, or talk in my sleep" I feel like I'm dying of embarrassment.

"No, I was just really annoyed I didn't get a chance to talk to the girl who keeps giving me tingles" Erik blushes and grabs my hands.

"You feel it too?"  Erik nods and I look down at our hands and feel the weird tingling sensations.

"What's this?" he points at my crescent moon birthmark that's on my finger. 

"It's just a birthmark, nothing special," I say pulling my hands away

"I'm sure there's some kind of symbolic meaning behind it. Have you ever looked into it?" Erik grabs my hand again and looks at my tattoo

"Nope. It's just a birthmark" I say, and as I try to pull my hand away from his grip, he pulls me into his chest and leans in so his face is only inches away from me. I can't smell his scent obviously from the masking tablets but there is this invisible electric pull making me want him. I move in closer and our lips touch, all that electric energy slamming through us. The kiss is so gentle and I feel my knees go weak.

 My phone interrupts the moment and we both look at the name on my phone, It's Alpha Michael.

"He must be looking for me. We should get going so we don't miss the band" I say still only inches away from his face.

"Don't answer it" he whispers into my ear, nipping at my earlobe. My body is still trying to recover from the incredible kiss.

"I have to" I answer Michael's call and say I'm coming and surprisingly he hears me through the loud music. I end the call and stare into his blue eyes

"We can't do this again! Michael likes me and you're his friend and I don't want him getting hurt. I promised myself no distractions during the games and I'm here to win and no wolf is going to get in my way" I remove myself from his grip and instantly miss his hands. Blue eyes doesn't say anything and just stares at me. 

"I'll see you down there," giving him a nod and walking off that rooftop as fast as I could.

Although it felt so right kissing that arrogant Alpha I know it was a big mistake!
