The huntress

It had been a year since I found out my whole life was a lie. Growing up in a small city in the middle of nowhere, I thought I was just a normal girl with my two best friends. Then came my 17th birthday, and my parents sat me down to explain everything. my whole world changed I questioned everything, but nobody liked my questions I became a nobody overnight. flashback to my 17th birthday my mom and I had just finished the goodbyes to our guests for my party when my dad came down stairs " Kayla come sit down your mother and I have some things to tell you". we all sat in the living room with them across from me by their faces I could tell this was serious. sitting waiting for them to start I got nervous. " come on guys how bad could it be we live in a boring town where nothing happens. please don't tell me one of you has cancer". " oh no it's nothing like that we are just not sure where to begin". my mother put my fears to rest. " your not a normal girl and this isn't just any old town you come from a long line of the world best hunters and you have to start your training tomorrow". looking at my dad I was confused I have never seen anyone bringing a deer or any thing back from one of their trips before. " I don't understand why we're you so nervous to tell me that hunting isn't a bad thing or a big deal. I never see people showing off their kills or seen anyone hunting here so what do we hunt and where do we hunt it". " mostly werewolves and vampires but occasionally we hunt others if we can find them from all over the world". at this point i figured they were messing with me so I just started laughing. " right you two hunt werewolves and vampires and I will start learning tomorrow really funny guy you almost had me I thought something really bad happen". but neither of them started laughing with me I stopped and looked between both mom and dad. but nothing changed they just stared at me with serious looks on their faces. " this has to be a joke werewolves, vampires those things don't exist. even if they did how do we kill them I'm just a human nothing special. "that's what the training is for your mother and I went through this when we turned of age you will be fine it's in our DNA. this all started when my ancestor Josiah was a knight he was gifted a silver sword by a lord for saving his daughter. a very large wolf kept coming to their house and climbing to his daughters balcony to sit and watch her. one night Josiah was waiting for it and stapped it with his sword it ran off and they thought it would die from its wond in the woods. the lord was so grateful he gave Josiah a sword of sliver but a few nights later it came back. so ones again Josiah waited for it and stabbed it in the heart this time with the sliver sword and it died. then to everyone's horror it reshaped into a human they had seen around the village from time to time. over the next few weeks many more wolves came and attacked the village they were in raged because the wolf Josiah had killed was their alpha. the leader of their pack many more knights were given silver swords and the whole pack was killed. all of the knights became the first ever group of hunter with Josiah as their leader. I am now the leader of the hunters and you will be as soon as you are trained and killed on your own. end of flash back.
