Chapter 5: A new friend

Charlie had a nightmare that night. They remembered something from their childhood. Jessica seemed a little strange since the beginning, but nobody noticed. They woke up shortly after, and couldn't sleep again. The next day, they had to rest and save their energy all morning. They got a little time out of the hospital. While out, they met a new friend.
"Hello! Y-you must be the reverse zombie themself! My name is Penny!" Charlie smiled and waved. The new friends hung out for a bit. Then Penny began discussing school difficulty they had. "I was always different. No one sat by me, saw me, heard me... It's like I never existed. Strange, right? But when I look in a mirror, I don't see myself." Charlie thought that this was strange, too.
Later that day, they asked the Royal scientist Michelle to investigate. She had accepted the request and started to read immediately. She apparently didn't sleep at all that night according to Martlet. Michelle kept reading until she found proof. Charlie had stayed in the hospital for a while longer until the day they had to fight whoever the glitch error was supposed to be in the kingdom of Paix.
