"Miss?"
"Huh? Who said my name? Are you guys playing tricks on me again? You guys know I hate whe-" someone interrupts my convo with my friends.
"Crazy lady, who are you talking to?" a little boy asks.
"Huh? So you were talking to me? I thought it was, nevermind. Whatsup kid?" I ask confused.
"..." He looks down, then slowly raises his head to me for a nanosecond then quickly puts it back down.
"Are you just going to stand there or are you going to speak?"
"You asked us to come here so how should we know what you want?" a older kid appears. My friends growl, but I ignore it for now.
"I did?"
"..." They stand there, looking at me like Im dumb.
"Oh... O-oooooooohhhhhhh. Now I remember! You're the kids I told to meet me after the fight!" I say clapping my hands and smiling.
"Yeah, so what do you want?"
"..." I look at them and take in the older one's attitude as well as his appearance.
"What are you star-"
I interrupt him. "How old are you guys? And what are your names?"
"My name is Nicholas but everyone calls me Nicholas and I'm 8"
"Why the f**k should I tell you?"
"*Gasp* You shouldn't say such awful words in front of a child!" I say covering Niko's ears.
"Say what? f**k? The f**k do you care? Its not like its the shitheads first time hearing it. The little s**t hears it everyday. Probably worse too."
"Look at me. Does my face give any hint of whether or not I care if little Niko heard any of those awful words?" I question with a serious face, and dead tone.
"..."
"*Sigh* Besides the point, I asked you guys here for a reason!"
"So tell us."
"Hmm? Oh! I haven't told you guys yet. Silly me. I asked you guys here for separate reasons. I asked for little Niko because I personally want to train him along side my son. And I brought you here because I wanted to see what I was dealing with as well as maybe testing you to see if-."
"Dealing with? Im not some kid off the street you can just walk up to and say 'Come here' like a pet. If you want to talk to me then show me some respect."
"I'll show you respect when you stop with the attitude and prove your worthy of my respect. Now if you don't want to come with me then don't, Im not controlling you nor am I forcing you, but if you leave and decide you want to know what Im talking about then don't hesitate to call or see me. Come little one. I'll take you to meet my son. Then we can talk to your parents and ask if they'd be willing to let me train you." I start walking.
I pause at the exit, "Remember this though, not everyone is your enemy but not everyone is your friend. I'll always be the one person that is your friend from the beginning to the end."
Taken aback he asks, "What do I care?" shifting his face into a more stoic one.
"Unless of course you hurt/threaten me, my pack, my son or any of the people I care about. That is the only time I will ever fight you. When I say fight, I mean to the death." On the last sentence I turn around and look the boy dead in the eyes - straight face and all, shifting so my eyes turn to all my friends. Showing him I mean business when I say these words. "Hope you have the day you deserve." With that I walk out with little Niko, waving at the older boy.
